Welcome to the Fall Equinox at Celestial Jems. As we move into the turning of the seasons — a time of balance, slowing, and release — this space has been created for you to pause and take a quiet moment for yourself. Together, we’ll breathe gently, honouring all that has grown in the light of the past months, and offering gratitude before we lay it down to rest. This meditation combines calming breathwork and grounding visualisations to soothe, helping you reconnect with yourself as you prepare to move inward for the cooler months ahead. Thank you so much for taking the time to pause with me today. Photo by Artem Saranin.

Well hello there,

Welcome to Celestial Gems.

My name is Gem and I'll be your guide for today.

This is a safe space that I have created and will share with you now.

If able,

Please ensure you are also in a physical space that feels safe to you,

Or at the very least safe enough for you to close your eyes for a few minutes.

You can do this practice sitting on the floor,

Or a chair,

Or lying down.

Just be sure you are comfortable and your back feels supported.

This is a short meditation to help you pause,

Reconnect,

And realign yourself for the turning of the seasons.

Outside,

The Earth is shifting,

Where the light and dark meet in balance.

For one hemisphere,

The light is beginning to return.

For another,

It is time to gently turn inward as the days begin to shorten and the air begins to cool.

As we breathe together,

Imagine the fading of the warmth,

The leaves changing colour,

And the nights becoming longer.

Let nature's slowing rhythm steady your own.

Today you will be invited to gently reflect on what you're grateful for,

Honouring what has grown in your life and allowing yourself to rest.

When you feel ready,

Gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in through your nose,

Strong and intentional.

Hold.

When you are ready,

Exhale through the mouth,

Clearing the space within you.

Again,

In through the nose,

Feeling the cool air pass your nostrils.

At the top of the breath,

Hold for just a moment longer.

Don't push,

Just notice,

Exploring your own bounds of comfort.

Then,

Exhale from the bottom of your belly,

Allowing the air to escape from you.

Last deep breath in through the nose,

Imagining your belly as a balloon,

Filling and expanding.

Hold,

And see if you can hold just a little longer.

Again,

Not to push yourself,

Just to explore.

Then,

With thought and intention,

Let your breath out,

Dropping your belly as you do,

Allowing the breath to cleanse,

Grounding you in this space and time.

For this moment,

It's just us.

Thoughts may rise,

And that's okay.

We are not here to judge.

There is no right or wrong.

This is a moment just for yourself,

Perhaps just for now.

Let those thoughts pass.

You can return to them later if you like.

Right now,

Give yourself permission to pause,

To rest,

Just for a moment,

To simply be without striving.

This is a time for gratitude,

To gather the bright moments of the past few months and place them gently into your heart.

Not to carry as a weight,

But to hold as light as the darkness begins to fall.

Picture a smooth,

Grey stone in the palm of your hands.

Cool and grounding,

This stone will hold your gratitude.

Let us take a moment now as you reflect on the past months,

Remembering even summer holds shadows and even the smallest act of kindness can shine like a glimmer of hope.

I ask you now,

What are you grateful for?

What is one thing in your life you could give thanks to?

Perhaps many things come to mind,

But for now,

Choose just one.

Choose just one.

In your mind's eye,

Close your palm and hold the stone tightly,

Bringing it closer to your chest.

The air that surrounds you is crisp,

Scented with wood smoke and damp earth.

The ground beneath your feet is soft and squishy,

As if rain has recently fallen.

Press the stone against your heart,

Feel it glow with energy and warmth,

Pulsing like a heartbeat in your hands.

Notice your chest soften as you hold it.

Take a slow breath in,

Feeling the love and gratitude flow through your body.

As you exhale,

Feel your body grow lighter,

Freer.

You have honoured your harvest.

You have granted yourself permission to rest.

Now,

Imagine taking the stone and placing it into your pocket.

Tap the pocket three times.

One,

Two,

Three.

And breathe,

Remembering the love you carry with you.

Gently now,

Repeat after me,

I am truly grateful for all the love and joy that surrounds me.

I am truly grateful for all the support and kindness I receive.

I am truly grateful for all the abundance in my life.

The stone rests within your pocket now,

Quietly glowing with your gratitude.

You can return to this place at any time,

But know you carry your gratitude with you always.

All you need to do is pause and remember.

Let us return now.

Begin to notice the room around you,

The distant sounds,

The temperature of the room you're in,

The way the fabric of your clothes touch the outline of your skin.

Awaken your body now by wiggling your fingers and your toes.

When you're ready,

Rub your hands together to create warmth.

Place your palms over your eyes,

Allowing that warmth to seep into your skin.

When you're ready,

Flutter your eyes open and lower your hands.

Thank you so much for joining me today and taking the time to pause with me.

I am so grateful you were able to stop by.

Until we meet again,

Goodbye my kindred friend.
