Meet your Teacher

Cristin Dougherty is a certified educator with a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in e-learning and teaching online. With nearly two decades of experience, she has taught learners of all ages across subjects including ESL, Spanish, French, and general education. She also holds a TEFL/TESOL certification with advanced training in creating engaging audio and video lessons, skills she brings into her teaching style with precision and ease. A dedicated morning routine practitioner since 2009, Cristin draws from her 15-year journey of solo travel and self-discovery to help others create grounding, intentional habits. Her calm and encouraging presence has resonated with thousands of students around the world. Today you’ll learn how to begin your day with an easy mindfulness practice. Through breathwork and meditation, you will begin the day by quieting the noise of the mind, resetting your nervous system, and creating space to simply just be, with no pressure to do or fix anything. You will definitely notice how this peacefulness carries throughout the rest of the day.

Move Your Body

Now we focus on energizing the body through movement. Whether it’s stretching, yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, a short HIIT workout, or perhaps some dancing, it’s time to move! Even just a few minutes of exercise can help you to wake up and feel energized for the day ahead. This energy boost will help you get going and inevitably improve your mood!

Nourishment And Breakfast

Today we will explore the power of nourishing your body first thing in the morning. Whether it’s a full meal or just something simple, what you feed yourself can impact your energy, focus, and mood throughout the day. Therefore, it is essential to choose the right foods and make it a point to take time to eat something nutritious in the morning.

Mental Fuel

Next, it is time to start feeding your mind. Reading something uplifting, listening to an inspiring talk, journaling, or learning something new can energize your thinking and shape your mindset for the day ahead. This is a much better way to start your day than looking at news or social media. When you mindfully choose something to read or learn, you notice how much better your mindset is for the rest of the day!

Nature And Perspective

Now we will explore how spending even just a few minutes outside can reset your entire nervous system, shift your mindset, and reconnect you to the amazing world around you. You’ll use nature as a way to create space and gain perspective. While in nature, you will find something to be grateful for and this will help you to have a positive perspective. Beginning the day with some gratitude and time outdoors will help you to feel grounded and refreshed.

Your Personalized Routine

This final day is about bringing everything together. You’ll reflect on the practices you’ve tried, choose what works best for you, and begin building a morning routine that feels sustainable, nourishing, and personal. Remember, there are no rules.
