It only takes a minute to interrupt the spiral of stress and fear. This meditation guides you through a sensory grounding exercise that uses your senses to bring you back into your body and into the present moment. As you return to your senses, you return to yourself.

Welcome to A Minute of Peace with Dr.

Janine.

Let's do a rep of mindfulness to practice pausing before reacting.

This meditation is called 3-2-1 and it can help you feel grounded even when you're scattered or overwhelmed.

Let's start by looking around you and silently name three things you can see.

It might be the desk in front of you,

A window,

Or the trees around you.

Now name two things you can touch and take a moment to touch each item.

How does it feel?

And lastly,

What is one thing you can hear?

In this moment,

You are here.

You are grounded,

Safe,

And present.

And that's it.

You're done.

A minute of peace.
