"This meditation invites you to pause in the midst of chaos and turn inward before reacting. Through gentle reflection, you’ll observe your thoughts, emotions, and recent actions with clarity and compassion—creating space for more aligned responses moving forward. You’ll reconnect with the truth that your patience is unlimited and that calm is always available to you, even when life feels loud or demanding. Anchored by the reminder “You never regret not overreacting,” this practice supports emotional steadiness, intentional choice, and responding from your highest self rather than habit."

Hi there,

And welcome to this meditation.

I'd love for you to find a comfortable position,

Whether that's seated,

Or maybe if you've had a particularly long day,

Join me laying down on your bed or on the floor.

And once you're comfortable,

Take a nice deep breath in,

And exhale.

Another breath in,

And release.

We're here in this moment to leave any of the stress,

The chaos,

The intensity of the day behind us.

I invite you to wiggle your body a bit,

And let out any pent-up energy you may have.

And once you feel settled,

Let's ground ourself with another deep breath,

And powerful exhale.

Doing what we can here to communicate to our bodies that we are safe.

We do not need to be in fight or flight mode any longer.

It's time to relax,

And it's time to let go of any of the tension we've experienced so far today.

Deep breath in,

And release.

My friend,

As you join me today,

I ask that you lean into this meditation with love for yourself,

Love for the day you've had,

And love for the future that's ahead of you.

You've done great so far,

And you have the power to navigate the rest of your day in a version that's even more aligned with the highest vision of yourself.

Breathe in,

And release.

I invite you to visualize the toughest part of your day so far.

Maybe something that really tested your patience,

Or something that you didn't love your response to.

I encourage you to sit with the emotion that that memory brings up.

How did you feel in that moment,

And how are you feeling now thinking back on it?

Calming breath in,

Loving exhale out.

That moment is in the past,

But it is worth reflecting on so that we can have a more aligned response in the future.

Your response was perfectly reasonable,

Acceptable in the moment,

But looking forward,

I invite you to consider how you would like to respond differently if a similar moment arises.

My friend,

You have the ability to remain calm in the midst of chaos.

It often takes prep work in advance,

Like reflecting on how you wish you would have responded,

Or mourning,

Grounding,

Meditations,

But you do have the ability to remain calm despite every trigger pulling you in.

Your patience truly is unlimited.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

A quick reminder that we're still in this room.

There is no threat.

We are grounded.

We are calm.

We are simply considering how we can behave moving forward.

I read a wonderful quote once that sticks with me.

Someone online had asked,

What's the best advice you got before you became a parent?

And the advice that stuck with me is you never regret not overreacting.

You never regret not overreacting.

I love that quote because it's so true and it can speak to more than just parenthood.

But think back on a time that you handled a tough moment with grace,

With patience,

When the best version of yourself decided to take center stage.

How does it feel looking back on that moment?

I'd love for you to consider what allowed you to have that positive response,

To remain patient,

To create a scenario that you're proud to look back on.

And how can you pull some of that into your day,

Your week,

Your month moving forward?

Grounding breath in.

Release your tension with your breath out.

Another breath in.

And exhale.

It is so easy for us to reflect at our hardest moments through a lens of self-deprecation,

A lens of self-hatred,

Disappointment.

But every experience is a learning opportunity about ourselves,

Our emotions,

Our inner world,

And how we can better support ourselves so we respond in a way that we're proud of.

My friend,

I'm proud of you for showing up to this meditation.

I'm proud of you for leaning in.

I'm proud of you for doing the inner work.

Deep breath in.

And exhale.

Final deep breath in.

Energetic exhale.

As we begin to use our senses to return to the space that we're in,

I encourage you to move forward lovingly.

If you have the time,

Take a second to journal in what you experienced,

Your thoughts,

How you feel you can support yourself so that you're proud of yourself the next time one of these tough moments arise.

Thank you,

My friend.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

I see you.

I love you.

Until next time.
