Welcome.
This is a self-reiki meditation designed to help you return to your center gently,
Intentionally,
And with care.
In this practice,
We'll move through a series of hand placements on your body,
Inviting healing energy to support your physical,
Emotional,
And energetic well-being.
You don't need to have any special training or background to benefit from this meditation.
All that is needed is your presence and a willingness to slow down and listen to your body.
So take a moment now to settle in.
Choose a position that feels supportive,
Whether that is lying down,
Sitting upright,
Or even resting in a chair.
There is no right or wrong way to be here.
Let your hands rest gently in your lap or by your sides,
And start by bringing your attention to your breath.
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
And slowly exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Breathing in deeply,
And releasing slowly.
One more time,
Breathe in,
And let it go.
Bring your breath back to its regular pattern,
Allowing your body to soften.
Just a little more with each exhale.
Let the shoulders melt.
Let the jaw unclench.
Let the belly soften.
There is nothing to hold on to right now,
Nothing to figure out,
Just this breath and this moment.
Now gently bring your hands together,
Your palms touching at the heart center,
Thumbs slightly resting against your chest.
This is the gassho position that originates from Japan and is used in the Buddhist practice.
Bringing your awareness to your hands and feel the warm and quiet connection between your palms.
If it feels right,
Silently say to yourself,
I welcome Reiki and I am open to receive what I need.
Now gently pull your palms two to three inches apart.
Pause here and observe any sensations between the palms.
A warmth,
A tingle,
A force that is pushing or pulling between the palms.
If you do not feel anything,
That is okay.
It can take sensory practice.
You can try to push your hands back together and gently pull them apart.
Again,
Whether you feel something or not,
The intelligence of Reiki is there and it is important that you trust it as we continue on with this meditation.
Gently guide your hands slowly to rest over your heart.
This is where we will begin at the center of compassion and connection.
Feel the rise and fall of the breath beneath your hands.
Notice any sensation,
Warm,
Tingling,
Or simply the presence of your touch.
Take a few moments here to connect.
You might say softly in your mind,
I am here,
I am supported,
And I allow healing.
Now gently shift your hands to rest over your upper abdomen,
Just below your ribs.
Your solar plexus,
The center of your personal power and confidence.
Breathe deeply into this space.
Feel the breath rise and expand into your hands.
Whisper gently,
I trust myself,
I stand in my truth.
Let any tension melt away with each breath.
Gently moving your hands to your lower belly,
Just below your navel is your sacral chakra.
This is the center of emotion,
Creativity,
And flow.
Allow your breath to drop into this space.
You might want to visualize a soft,
Warm,
Orange glow here,
Steady and alive.
Silently repeat,
I honor my feelings,
I welcome joy and movement.
Now bring your hands down to your lower abdomen or hips,
Your root chakra.
This is your foundation,
Your connection to the earth,
To safety,
Stability,
And belonging.
Feel the ground supporting you.
Let your body become heavier.
More rooted with each breath.
Whisper softly,
I am grounded,
I am safe,
I belong.
Now bring your attention to the space between your eyebrows.
Your third eye,
The center of inner knowing,
Quiet wisdom,
And deeper sight.
Feel a sense of spaciousness in your mind.
Let thoughts soften and let clarity rise.
Whisper softly,
I see clearly,
I trust my intuition.
Now gently bring your awareness to the very top of your head,
The crown chakra.
Here you are open,
Expansive,
Limitless,
Connected to something greater than yourself.
You may visualize a purple light.
Breathe into this connection and feel the light pouring in as though from above.
A quiet remembering of your wholeness.
Whisper softly,
I am one with all.
I am divine.
I am light.
Take a few quiet breaths here and let the energy settle and integrate.
Now bringing your hands gently back to rest over your heart space.
Breathe into this center once more,
Feeling the place of calm,
Compassion,
And inner knowing.
Notice how your body feels now.
And as we begin to close this practice,
Bring your hands back together.
Again,
In gastro meditation,
Palms touching,
A quiet bow of gratitude towards your own heart.
Silently say,
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Feeling the gratitude in your heart.
Take one final deep breath and slowly release.
Know that this practice is always available to you.
You can carry this healing within you.
You are your own safe space,
Your own steady light.
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Returning to the space around you and carry this calm with you through the rest of your day or evening.
Thank you for joining today.
Your meditation practice is complete.
