Take a moment to settle into a position that feels supportive.
Maybe that's seated,
Tall but soft,
Or maybe lying down gives your body more permission to let go.
Let the shoulders drop,
The jaw relax,
The space between the eyebrows soften.
Take a deep breath in,
And open mouth exhale to release.
Allow your breath to settle into its natural rhythm.
Inhale gently,
Exhale softly.
Feel the weight of your body being held beneath you,
Let the ground or the seat support you completely.
Let the busyness of life fall away,
One slow breath at a time.
Gently bring to mind something in your life that feels outside of your control right now.
Something you've been gripping,
Holding onto,
Worrying about,
Turning over and over in your mind.
You don't need to fix it or solve it,
Just acknowledge it.
Let the truth of it rest in the space with you.
As you think of this situation,
Notice where the body tightens.
Maybe the belly contracts,
The jaw sets,
The shoulders inch upward.
Just notice,
Without judgment,
Without pushing it away,
Observe where your body has been trying to carry it.
Bring awareness to your exhale now,
Let it lengthen just a little.
Inhale gently,
Longer exhale.
With each exhale,
Let the body soften around the place that holds tension.
Not forcing release,
Just inviting space.
Like loosening your grip on something heavy.
Imagine two circles in front of you.
One small circle,
What you can influence.
One larger circle,
Holding what you cannot.
Feel into the difference.
Let the breath guide you back toward the smaller circle,
The part that's actually yours to carry.
And breathe out everything else,
The part that was never yours to hold alone.
Now imagine taking what you can't control from the larger circle and placing it on the earth in front of you.
Let the ground hold it,
Even just for now.
Breathe into the space that opens when you stop gripping.
Let yourself rest in trust,
Trust in timing,
Trust in process,
Trust that not everything needs your constant effort.
Take a slow breath in.
Long open mouth exhale.
Begin to sense the room again.
The air,
The sounds,
The support beneath you.
Invite movement back into the fingers,
Toes and shoulders.
And when you're ready,
Let your eyes gently lift or open.
Carry the softness with you and the knowing that letting go is not giving up.
It's creating space for peace.
