Hello and welcome to the second meditation in our chakra series and today's meditation is on sacral chakra,

Balancing the sacral chakra.

So take your time arriving in the position you would like to be for today's meditation.

You could be lying down,

You could be supported in a reclined position,

Whatever allows you to be as comfortable as you can be.

And then maybe you start with eyes closed or you start with a softer gaze and then you connect what's around you,

What's underneath you,

What's touching,

Maybe the air on your skin or the texture of the clothing.

Take a moment to notice and allow these things to help you become present.

Maybe you soften your shoulders and your jaw and then slowly close your eyes if you haven't yet and then connect with your breath.

Just observe where is your breath and observe if there are any sounds attached to your breath and try not to change the sounds,

Try not to change the pace and if there's no sound to your breath that's okay.

Just keep noticing maybe this will change.

The subtler the sound,

The more you have to focus.

That's the whole point.

Sound of your breath.

And then slowly start lengthening and deepening your breaths and see if with that effort the breath changes its sound.

Still having the focus on the sound of your breath but take a longer breath in and a slower breath out and then bringing the focus to your navel.

Notice how the navel expands on your inhale and the navel pulls back in as you exhale.

Again the navel expands on your breath in,

Pulls back in on your breath out and then start visualizing the whole energy is placed in your navel and on the inhale feel this energy from your navel expanding into the whole body and on the exhale feel the energy drawing back to the navel concentrating in your navel.

Again on the inhale the energy expands through the whole body from the navel and on the exhale the energy pulls back concentrates in the navel.

Take a few more breaths with these two points of focus.

Expand the energy breath in,

Concentrated in the navel,

Breath out.

And then we take the focus away from your breath,

Allowing the breath to settle and calm down and we make our way towards the chakras.

We'll first acknowledge and feel and say a little hello to all seven chakras and then we'll settle in the sacral chakra to balance that chakra today.

So bring your focus to the base of your spine.

As you focus on the base of the spine the root chakra slowly starts to wake up radiating a beautiful red light.

And then we go slightly further up a little bit below the navel.

The sacral chakra slowly wakes up as you focus on this part of your body.

And as it opens it slowly radiates an orange light.

And then you go slightly further up towards the upper abdomen,

The seat of the solar plexus chakra.

Focusing on this part of your body allows the solar plexus chakra to slowly open,

Radiating a yellow light.

And then we go further up to your upper chest,

Seat of the heart chakra,

Allowing the heart chakra to wake up,

Radiating a green light.

And then go further up to your throat.

Focusing on this part helps open the throat chakra.

And as the throat chakra opens,

It radiates a beautiful blue light.

And then further up to your forehead,

The center of the forehead is the seat of your third eye chakra.

As you focus there,

The chakra opens radiating a purple light.

And then you go to the crown of your head,

Connecting with your crown chakra.

And this chakra fills the head with a white light.

And then through your spine,

You make your way back to the second chakra,

Which is a couple inches below your navel,

Known as the sacral chakra.

It sits on the upper part of your pelvis,

Right at the tip,

Connecting with the color of this chakra,

Which is orange.

Feeling the color orange getting brighter and brighter.

And as this orange color gets brighter,

It represents warmth,

Creativity,

And joy.

Now every chakra has a symbol,

A very unique symbol.

And the symbol that's associated with the sacral chakra is of a crescent moon.

And outside of the crescent moon is a circle.

And on the outer edge of the circle is a six-petaled lotus flower.

The crescent moon represents the fluidity,

The feminine and the nurturing side of you.

The circle represents the circle of life and death,

The circle of emotions,

Which are governed by this chakra.

And the six-petaled lotus flower represents the six negative emotions that need to be balanced.

Anger,

Jealousy,

Cruelty,

Hatred,

Pride,

And desire.

So visualize this symbol for sacral chakra with all that it represents,

A six-petaled lotus flower,

Inside that a circle,

And inside that a crescent moon.

And you may visualize this symbol in the color orange,

Deepening your connection with the sacral chakra.

The element that's associated with this chakra is water.

Water element is governed by your sacral chakra.

So where in your body can you find the element water or anything that's fluid?

Maybe the water inside your mouth cavity.

Maybe the water that's running through your blood vessels,

Lymphatic vessels,

Any circulation.

And maybe you visualize the whole pelvis filled with water,

And your sacral chakra sitting right on top of that bowl of water.

This water element helps us to be flexible,

To just flow,

To also be fun,

Creative,

And nourishing.

To deepen your connection with the water element of the sacral chakra,

You can press the pinky toe of your feet into the ground,

Or visualize the pinky toe radiating an orange light.

You can also make a mudra with your hands,

Connecting the pinky finger to your thumb.

Just like the pinky toe,

The pinky finger is associated with the sacral chakra,

And this mudra is known as Jal Mudra.

Jal means water,

Representing the fluidity,

The flexibility,

The creativity,

And the nourishment.

Now if it feels okay,

You can continue holding the mudra,

Or you can release your hands back where they were.

And we will move into the vibration associated with this chakra.

Vibration for the sacral chakra is Vam,

And I will chant this three times.

You are welcome to chant with me,

Or you can just do it in your mind.

So a long breath in,

Filling up as much as you can.

On the exhale,

Vam.

Again,

Take a breath in,

Feel the vibration around the navel.

On the exhale,

Vam.

Last one,

Inhale.

Exhale,

Vam.

And then let the breath settle,

Feeling the vibration in the sacral chakra,

Around the navel.

Your sacral chakra is connected to your emotional side,

Your creative side,

Your feminine side,

Your nurturing side.

It also gives you flexibility and fluidity to move along in the circle of life.

So start sending your breath into the sacral chakra.

Maybe just the way you did in the beginning of the practice,

So you can release any blockages that might be there,

Blocking the energy of the sacral chakra.

Your inhale relaxes the areas around this chakra.

And your exhale releases all the stuck energy from this chakra.

And as you're doing so,

See what comes up.

See if there are any insights this chakra has for you,

As to what needs to be released.

What are you letting go that might be blocking you from being nurturing,

Or creative,

Or maybe doubting yourself?

What are those blocks that you're letting go?

Just visualize.

And if nothing is coming up for you,

That's okay.

Sometimes things happen in the subconscious and you don't need to know.

You just need to hold the space so the work is done.

And then see if there are any people attached to this chakra.

Usually if we have been nurturing or flexible with someone else,

They might still be using our sacral chakra energy to feed themselves.

And these people are usually attached to our chakras with cords.

So notice,

Do you see any cords coming out of this chakra,

Attached to some people?

It could be anywhere,

Towards the front,

Sides,

Back.

So just sense.

Who are the people still connected to your sacral chakra?

And some of them might be very,

Very close and dear to you.

But we do need to keep our energy conserved for ourselves as well.

So once you realize,

You slowly detach these cords from your chakra and allow them to fly away from the chakra,

Taking those people far away from you.

Again,

Detach the next cord,

Gently release it,

So the cord with those people flies away.

And go to the next one.

Removing all attachments from your sacral chakra.

And then you visualize a golden sun right in front of your sacral chakra.

And then allow this sun to be absorbed into the chakra,

Filling the chakra with nice,

Warm,

Healing light.

Filling up all the spaces that were created by the releases you did today.

And this makes the chakra balanced and radiating even brighter orange light.

Breathe.

And as you feel your sacral chakra balanced,

You can repeat a few affirmations.

I am flexible.

I am creative.

I am nurturing.

And then,

Sitting at your sacral chakra,

Just take a look at all the chakras above you and underneath you.

Say a little thank you to all of them for supporting you today.

And say a big thank you to your sacral chakra.

For helping you find your creative,

Flexible,

And fun side.

Allow all your chakras to slowly calm down.

You know they are there whenever you need them.

And then gently return your focus back to your breath.

Noticing how the breath feels.

And again,

Tuning into the slightest of the sound connected with the subtlest of the breath right now.

And then tuning into the sounds that you feel around you in the room.

Maybe really far away from the room.

Connecting with the textures touching you.

Maybe the air on your cheeks.

Coming back to the moment that you are in.

And then,

You slowly bring your hands to your heart center.

We gently bow down to close our practice.

Namaste.

When you feel ready,

You can slowly open your eyes and return back.

Return back to the room that you are in.

Thank you so much for being a part of this beautiful meditation.

I will see you next time.
