Welcome and good morning to you.
My name is Mark and this is your space to rise gently to meet this new day with energy,
Gratitude and a sense of possibility.
So,
Wherever you are right now,
If you're lying in bed still,
That's OK,
If you're sitting up having your morning coffee or tea,
Allow yourself just to arrive fully.
You've given yourself the gift of these few minutes to awaken your body and acknowledge mind and spirit.
OK,
Let's begin by sitting comfortably or lying down if you're still relaxed in your bed,
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in and a slow,
Steady breath out.
Feel the coolness of the inhale and the warmth of exhaling.
Let your breath remind you that life is flowing through you.
As you breathe,
Notice your body awakening,
The weight of your feet resting on the ground or the weight of your body on the bed if you're lying down.
Now let's imagine a soft golden light rising with the sun.
This light gently pours down over you,
Beginning at the crown of your head,
Travelling slowly through your body.
It warms your forehead,
It softens your throat.
It fills your heart with a bright glow of energy.
With each inhale,
This golden light expands and with each exhale,
It releases any heaviness or residue from yesterday.
You are recharged,
You are renewed,
It's a new day full of possibility for you.
Just sit for a minute now,
With your breath,
Inhaling and feeling the golden light expand and exhaling,
Releasing the heaviness and rubbish and residue from yesterday.
You are recharged,
You are renewed.
As this light fills you,
Let these affirmations settle into your being.
You can repeat them silently or aloud,
Just letting each one become part of your morning intention.
