Though challenges are a natural part of the human experience, it can sometimes be difficult to allow ourselves the time and space needed to move through them with grace. In this meditation, you will give yourself the opportunity to slow down and soften into the present moment where it is safe to be, to feel, and to take the time you need to be right where you are.

Slowly,

Begin to drop into this moment.

Close your eyes if that feels safe and invite yourself to land.

Begin to slow down and deepen your breath just a little bit.

Meet yourself right where you are,

Without judgment.

See if you can begin to let go of whatever came before this and feel yourself in this moment,

Right here and now.

I want to remind you,

It's ok to not be ok.

All parts of you are welcome in this moment.

Let them be here now.

Inhale and exhale,

Feel yourself land a little more.

Whatever season of life you're in right now,

It's ok to be right where you are.

Imagine the space around you opening up just a little bit,

Making room for you to fully show up here.

Begin to notice the places within you that are asking for attention and see if you can greet them with love.

Whether it's a moment or a season,

Going through a hard time can feel like being in the middle of a heavy storm,

A period of darkness,

Strong winds of emotion,

A loss of control.

With a lot going on around you,

A lot to contend with,

Let yourself be here.

Consider the journey of a butterfly.

The butterfly has delicate wings and when there is a storm,

The raindrops are heavy and can weigh down these delicate wings.

Flight can become difficult and at times impossible,

So they seek shelter to wait out the storm.

Imagine yourself as this beautiful butterfly right now and find shelter in this moment.

Letting your feelings have the space they need.

Letting any energy in your body begin to move up and down.

Be gentle with yourself.

Letting your breath be a source of support.

Inhale and exhale.

In these moments when we are weathering a storm,

We must remember that it's ok to not be ok.

It is safe to let feelings move through you.

Because the storm will always pass,

The sun will shine again,

The light will return.

Know that you can support yourself through these moments,

Through these seasons and find your way back to the light.

I invite you now to send some love towards yourself.

Maybe put a hand on your heart or gently cup your face with both hands and let yourself know that it's ok to be here.

I've got you and tell that part of you inside that needs a little reminder.

I've got you.

Relaxing your hands and arms now.

Give yourself a breath.

My friend,

You're doing better than you think.

Now just feeling your body breathe here.

Now that you've moved some energy and created some space,

Give yourself an opportunity to play with the shift.

Bring your attention to the corners of your mouth,

Inviting a gentle lift,

A gentle smile to acknowledge your choice to care for yourself.

Giving yourself permission to be right where you are.

You can play with letting that smile grow a little bit and just noticing what this feels like.

And if that smile feels like effort right now,

Then let your jaw relax.

Know that you will find your way back to that smile when you're ready,

Because eventually every storm runs out of rain.

Take a moment here to consider the next moments of your day and how you would like to move into them,

Inviting flow into your experience,

Moving away from any forcing.

Now finding a few fuller breaths,

Maybe a little movement in your body,

Letting there be an ease to your movements so they can support you in finding your way back into the room.

Be easy with yourself as you move into the rest of your day and know that it's ok to be right where you are,

From my heart to yours.
