
Yoga Nidra - For Stress Relief & Deep Relaxation
In this deeply restorative meditation, I create and environment where you are at once held by nature and invited to to release any tension from your body. Perfect for releasing anxiety or resetting the nervous system.

Hello and welcome to this yoga nidra meditation.
For this meditation,
I do recommend lying down somewhere comfortable,
Your hands at your sides,
As the purpose of this meditation is full relaxation of our mental and physical bodies.
Just focus on your breath,
Slowing down a bit,
Noticing the rising and falling of your chest,
Your body settling.
Gently close your eyes.
And then I want you to begin by gently repeating these words to yourself.
Peace is my natural state.
Peace is my natural state.
And just allow those words to really permeate your entire body.
Those words permeating and filling every cell,
All parts of your subconscious.
Just breathe into that for a moment while you really take in those words and absorb what you've just said.
Peace is my natural state.
Good.
And now bring your attention back to your breath.
And just as your body continues to settle more deeply now,
Just feel in each breath,
Flowing in and out of your nose.
Feel the gentle rise and fall of your chest.
As the breath fills your lungs with life,
With each new breath,
With peace,
With love.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Now I'm going to slowly begin to guide your awareness to different parts of your body.
And I just want you to keep your awareness on each part as I guide you.
And imagine your breath breathing in and out of that space.
And just allow each part to relax.
Fully and completely.
You may feel a slight tingling.
You may feel warmth.
You may not feel anything at all.
Just focus on that area and the breath coming in and out as we move down the body.
Now I want you to imagine that you are lying in a natural,
Warm spring.
Your body is floating in this natural pool.
This clear,
Pure water has come up from deep within the earth and was formed just as you were.
Just for you.
Just for this moment.
Just for this pure relaxation.
You are safe here.
You are held.
It's okay to let go and completely relax.
You notice the water's warmth on your skin as it still contains the heat energy that has carried up for you.
This pool is surrounded by lush,
Green plants.
Tall trees with rich,
Healthy leaves.
And there are flowers of white,
Yellow,
Red that are filling your nose with an aroma of a floral honey scent.
There's a stream nearby that you can hear as it gently flows through a dense,
Green grass.
The leaves of the trees form an opening just big enough to allow the sun to reach your skin.
You feel the rays gently warm your face,
Your arms,
Your chest,
Your belly,
And legs.
You are floating in this warm,
Still,
Supportive water.
It feels comforting.
It feels familiar.
Warmed by the sun above you and the water supporting your body from underneath,
You are gently letting go of all tension with each breath.
And now bring your awareness to the top of your head.
Breathing into this space,
Feeling it relax.
And now to your forehead.
And now to your right eyebrow.
And then to your left eyebrow.
And then your right eyelid.
And now your left eyelid.
Now bring your awareness to your right cheek,
Allowing whatever sensations arise.
And now to your nose.
Just breathing in and out.
Breathing into this area.
And then to your top lip.
And now your bottom lip.
And then your lower jaw.
Feeling it soften and relax.
To your throat area.
And now the back of your neck.
Breathing into this space with full awareness here.
And now your right shoulder.
And then your left shoulder.
And then your upper back.
Breathing into this space.
Breathing out of this space.
Feeling it soften and relax.
And then to your middle back.
And now your lower back.
And now your right upper arm area.
And now your elbow.
And down to your forearm.
And now to the palm of your hand.
Breathing gently in and out of this area.
And now to your fingers.
Feeling this entire area completely soften and relax.
And now bring your awareness to your left upper arm.
And your left elbow.
And now down to your forearm.
And then to the palm of your hand.
And now your fingers.
Breathing gently in and out of this area.
Feeling it completely soften and relax.
And now your left side.
Allowing each space to fully relax.
And now bring your awareness to your chest.
And now down to your solar plexus.
And now down to your left side.
Then your belly.
Feeling it soften as you breathe in and out.
And now bring your awareness to your right hip area.
And now your left hip.
And your right buttocks.
And now your left buttocks.
And then to your pelvic area.
Feeling this whole area completely soften and relax.
And now bring your awareness to your right thigh.
Gently breathing in and out of this area.
And now your right knee.
And your right calf area.
And to the top of your foot.
And now the sole of your foot.
Bringing all awareness to this space.
And now to the top of your foot.
To the toes.
Feeling this entire area completely soften and relax.
And now bring your awareness to your left thigh.
And now down to your left knee.
And your left calf area.
And now to the top of your foot.
And now the sole of your foot.
And to your toes.
Feeling this entire area completely soften and relax.
And now that your outer body is completely relaxed.
Completely and fully softened and relaxed.
Just breathe in and out of your entire body.
Just for a few moments.
Noticing the sensation of full relaxation.
And now bring your attention to your inner body.
From your toes.
Inside to your legs.
To your stomach.
Inside to your chest.
Inside to your neck.
Inside to your head.
Feeling your full inner body completely soften and relax.
And now your entire outer and inner body is completely softened and relaxed.
Feel the heaviness of your body.
Being fully supported by the energy of the warm,
Calm spring water.
You are fully and completely relaxed.
Any tension has been released from your body.
And transferred through the water.
And deep into the earth below.
Just allow yourself to relax here.
In this pure,
Pristine environment for a few moments.
And now,
Begin to bring your awareness back to the room that you're in.
You may start to move your fingers,
Wiggle your toes a bit.
Stretch your arms,
Legs,
If you need to.
And we're going to take a couple of slow,
Deep breaths to reground into this present moment.
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
Hold it for a couple of seconds.
And release.
And one more time.
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And hold.
And release.
And I just want you to remember,
As you prepare for rest,
Or go about your day,
Just allow this sense of peace to stay within you.
This is yours,
And it's something that's always here,
Supporting you.
This deep,
Restful place is always available to you.
You only need to turn your awareness inward.
