Hello,
My name is Natalie.
It's wonderful to connect with you here for today's sound healing journey.
We're going to dive deep into the calming medicine of these beautiful instruments.
And all you have to do to benefit is relax and listen,
Ideally on a good set of headphones.
Studies have shown that sound and music help us to get into a meditative state more easily.
They do this by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system,
Which allows for your heart rate and blood pressure to go down.
This allows for a significant reduction in stress and anxiety,
So you can feel more relaxed and at peace,
And even enjoy more nourishing sleep.
The more you connect with this type of meditation,
The more you can rewire the structure of your brain to move away from a survival response state into a state of thriving.
So let's get comfortable.
I would encourage you to lie down with a pillow beneath your head and perhaps some support under your knees.
You are of course welcome to sit if that feels right for you.
Together,
Let's begin to deepen our breath by releasing our out-breath,
Emptying yourself of breath first,
Allowing yourself the space to breathe in more deeply.
Release any sounds,
Sighs or stretches responding intuitively to the needs of your body as you breathe out.
Let's begin this release for inner peace together.
Begin to allow small movements in your hands and feet.
Bring yourself back to your out-breath as you intuitively awaken your body with stretches and small movements.
Rub your palms together,
Creating some heat between them,
And place them over your eyes.
Gently flicker your eyelids open as you increase the gaps between your fingers,
Inviting the light back in,
Moving your palms away.
My name is Natalie and I look forward to connecting with you again.
