In this short meditation, we'll connect with our heart space and cultivate a feeling of self-love using inquiry and affirmations. This meditation can be done seated or lying down. Use it any time you need a reminder that you are worthy of the love, kindness and compassion you give to others.

Welcome to this meditation for self-love.

Find a comfortable seat or lie down.

Allow your body to relax.

Bring your hands to your heart,

One hand on top of the other.

Notice your heart beating.

Notice your breath.

Welcome the sensation of warmth in your chest.

Take a moment to check in with yourself.

Bring awareness to any emotions you're feeling.

Ask yourself,

How am I doing?

How is my heart?

What do I feel in this moment?

Be honest with yourself.

Allow yourself to fully connect with your feelings without pushing them away or trying to change them.

Now take some time to identify and recognize something that you love about yourself.

We so often focus on the things we want to improve or change.

Now let's just focus on what you love.

What do you do well?

What makes you unique?

If you meet this inquiry with resistance,

Just pause and breathe.

Leave some space and see if something comes to mind.

Maybe now or maybe later.

Just be patient with yourself.

Now repeat aloud or silently the following affirmations.

I am worthy of self-love.

I am worthy of the love,

Kindness,

And compassion that I give others.

My voice and my presence matter.

I embrace the things that make me unique.

Every day I put goodness into the world.

I trust myself.

I recognize the beauty in myself.

My heart is open to giving and receiving love from others and from myself.

I am gentle and kind to myself,

Knowing I'm doing my best and that is enough.

I treat myself with abundant love.

Take a full inhale through the nose and sigh it out.

Checking in again with your heart.

Asking yourself,

How am I doing now?

What do I need?

How can I care for myself today?

What is something loving and kind that I can do for myself?

How can I show myself love?

Bring awareness back to your heart space.

Connect with a feeling of gratitude for yourself.

For taking time to do something loving and kind for yourself today.

Again,

Take a full inhale through the nose.

Exhale,

Sigh it out.

And again,

Inhale.

Release.

One last time.

Let it go.

I offer my deepest gratitude.
