This meditation provides comfort and self-acceptance when you are ill, which can help with the healing process. Through breathing and affirmations, move from anxiety or sadness about your health or fears about falling behind with work to a wise, warm relationship with your body in all its complexities. Find quiet space and sit comfortably,

Close your eyes if you want to and allow your body to relax with each inhale and exhale of the breath.

Breathe in healing,

Breathe out tension.

As you breathe,

Remind yourself,

I am perfect just as I am.

In this moment,

I am whole.

My worth does not depend on what I do or how I feel.

I am enough just as I am.

I accept myself in all my complexities.

In my vulnerability,

I bring safety and warmth to myself.

I bring myself compassion.

It doesn't matter if I fall behind with tasks,

Things will work out.

I trust that I can rest and heal and everything will fall into place.

I give myself permission to pause,

Knowing that my body's needs are the most important thing right now.

I do not need to push myself,

It's okay to take a step back.

I release the fear of letting people down.

I am not indispensable.

People are more tolerant and understanding than I sometimes think.

I bring to mind those who truly understand.

I receive their love and compassion in this moment of vulnerability.

I trust in the support I can give myself and in the kindness of others.

I am never alone.

I accept myself fully.

My body,

My mind,

My spirit,

My emotions,

My thoughts,

My actions,

My personality,

My challenges and my strengths.

I celebrate my uniqueness.

As I breathe in and out,

I accept my feelings about my current state.

I don't fight them.

I embrace them and bring them comfort,

As if they were my children.

It's okay for me to feel whatever I'm feeling.

My body is my companion on the journey.

Thank you body for your wisdom.

Thank you for doing your best to keep me safe in the ways that you know best.

I trust in your capacity to bring me safety,

To bring me regulation,

To bring me healing.

I hold space for my healing,

Knowing that love is always here,

Inside me and all around me.

I am perfect just as I am.

Take some time to take a few more deep healing breaths.

And when you're ready,

You can slowly begin to open your eyes.

You can return to this meditation whenever you need a reminder of your healing,
