This is Day 1 of 12 Days of Clarity, a body-based meditation series with Nikki Lee Boklund. Today’s practice invites you to ground your awareness into the feet and legs — a gentle return to stillness through breath and presence. Calm isn’t something you force. It begins where the body meets the earth.

Day one,

Rooting into stillness with the Paramita Dhyana or meditation.

Begin by sensing your feet,

Your legs,

Or wherever your body meets the ground.

Let yourself be heavy,

Not as weight,

But as presence.

Notice what softens when you stop holding yourself up.

There's no need to strive.

Stillness isn't blank.

It's a fullness that doesn't need to move.

Let your breath drop downward into your lower belly,

Into your roots.

I allow stillness to show me what's real.

Feel that.

Let the stillness speak.
