Welcome to this guided meditation for letting go.

Take a moment to find a comfortable seated position while keeping your spine erect.

Gently close your eyes and begin to settle into the present moment.

Let your body relax and allow your mind to be open to this experience.

Take a deep breath in,

Feeling your lungs expand.

Hold for a moment and then slowly exhale,

Letting go of any tension or stress.

Inhale deeply,

Hold and exhale fully.

Now bring your attention to the top of your head.

Notice any tightness or tension and with your next exhale,

Imagine it melting away.

Gently move your attention down your body from your forehead,

Eyes and jaw to your shoulders,

Chest and abdomen,

Relaxing each area as you breathe out.

Continue down to your legs,

Ankles and feet,

Letting your entire body soften and release.

Now bring your focus to your breath.

Notice the natural rhythm of your breathing,

There's no need to change it,

Simply observe each inhale and exhale.

As you breathe in,

Imagine drawing in peace and calm.

As you breathe out,

Imagine releasing any worries,

Stress or negative emotions.

With each exhale,

Feel yourself becoming lighter as if you're letting go of anything that no longer serves you.

Now bring to mind something you're holding on to,

Perhaps a thought,

A feeling,

A situation or a person.

Whatever it is,

Allow it to gently come into your awareness.

Imagine that you're holding this in your hands.

See it clearly,

Feel the weight of it,

The energy it carries.

Notice how it affects you.

Envision yourself standing by a flowing river.

See the water moving gently,

Carrying leaves and twigs along its path.

As you stand there,

Imagine placing what you're holding on to into the water.

See it floating away,

Moving with the current,

Slowly disappearing from your sight.

With each moment,

Feel the sense of release,

Of letting go.

Trust that the river will take it away,

Leaving you feeling lighter and free.

If you feel any resistance,

That's okay.

Just notice it and allow yourself to let go at your own pace.

As you continue to watch the river,

Silently repeat these affirmations.

I let go of what I cannot control.

I release all that no longer serves me.

I am free and I trust the flow of life.

Allow these words to resonate with you and feel the truth of them in your heart.

Gently bring your awareness back to your breath.

Notice the rise and fall of your chest.

Feel the ground beneath you,

The support that it provides.

Begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Gently bringing movement back to your body.

When you're ready,

Take a deep breath in and slowly open your eyes,

Bringing with you a sense of peace,

Freedom,

And lightness.
