Welcome,

My name is Sandhya and this is your ADHD Get Stuff Done Focus Session.

This is not about doing everything.

It's about doing one thing.

We're going to be here for 10 minutes together.

And if your brain feels scattered,

Distracted,

Always resisting the task in front of you,

We're going to simplify it.

But before we do that,

Take a steady breath in and a longer breath out.

Again in and out.

Once more.

In and out.

And now remove any distractions you can.

Maybe silence your phone.

Clear a space in front of you.

Put away anything you're not using.

Pop it to the side.

We have five minutes together.

And I have some beta frequencies playing to help you stay focused.

So let's do this together.

Picking one small thing that you can do now.

Is there something you need organizing?

Is the house a complete mess?

Does your to-do list seem so long?

I want you to pick one thing.

Anything to get started.

So if your room's a mess,

You might start with one small corner.

If you have a to-do list and you can't decide,

Just place your finger on one thing and do that.

Remember you don't have to finish.

You just have to get started.

Take a breath in and out.

We can do this together.

If you haven't yet started,

Stand up.

Shake your arms.

Or move around the room.

Sometimes it's this transition which is tricky.

So create some movement.

Let's do this together.

Okay,

We are nearing the end.

Notice what you've done,

Even if it feels small.

And congratulate yourself.

Getting started is the hardest part.

So you can choose to replay this if you want.

Or stop and have a break.

My name's Sandhya.

Do check out my other ADHD tracks to help you stay focused.

I've done quite a few now on Get Stuff Done.

Thank you for listening.
