Oh it's lovely to be back.
Hello and welcome to everyone and thank you for joining me today.
Just wanted to introduce myself to those of you who are new.
Thank you for joining me.
Thank you for everybody who has joined me again and returned.
Thank you.
I'm Sarah Naylor.
I am obviously an Insight Timer teacher.
I'm an international executive coach and mentor,
Writer,
Author,
Speaker,
Businesswoman.
A few boxes I tick,
But I'm a general all-round lover of life and seeing things of the positive nature.
My talks are very much aimed at being upbeat,
Raising energy levels,
Vibrational frequencies and I'm here as a coach.
As a coach I'm here for for you.
You know I will bring a subject or generally I bring a subject to the table and then I'm open to what you want to ask me in all reality underneath the guise of the topic that I'm talking about.
Which today I wanted to really talk about living your happiest life through changing your behaviour because ultimately we are all responsible for ourselves and everything always comes back to the self.
So whatever's happening,
Whatever you're feeling,
Sensing,
Whatever it is,
Situations,
Scenarios,
Responses,
Work,
Home,
Whatever.
It's all how you deal with the situation or the scenario.
Quite often it's a case of stopping and breathing,
Taking the emotion out of it and then just looking at the situation objectively,
Shifting your perspective,
Looking at things through a different set of eyes.
I'll start off by giving you a scenario as recent as this weekend.
For many of you you'll know that I live in Norfolk in the UK.
We're not far from the sea.
Hurrah!
I love it.
Moved in December last year.
In moving we knew very well,
Obviously you do,
You've got an idea of your area haven't you and there's a fence between us and the pub,
One of the pubs in the village.
We knew that they would have events on,
You know,
Outdoor events on I should say.
However,
We were under the impression,
Oh they have got restrictions on their license.
Cut the long story short,
They've had several back-to-back which they shouldn't have done,
Including as we were relaxing Sunday afternoon in the garden on one of the hottest days,
Suddenly we thought,
Oh that's an increase in people's voices.
That's interesting,
Wonder what's going on there and then suddenly a guy on a mic said,
Oh no,
I'll be singing very soon and apparently he's an x-factor person.
Anyway,
It's like,
Oh my word,
Holy moly.
Now,
Last weekend they had a band on and we weathered it but after three hours we were really ready to go inside.
Four weeks ago they had a battle of the bands on and imagine a big truck with speakers and music blaring out but we knew that was happening so we'd made arrangements around that.
We didn't know that this was going to happen.
It was on to Sunday so we didn't know that was going to happen and it was like,
Oh my god,
Yeah,
We just didn't want it.
Our afternoon was like relaxing for once in the garden.
So we're in the garden,
We were planning to have some time out for once and this music started and it's like,
Oh no.
So I turned around to my partner,
I said look,
Let's go and grab a bite to eat.
So we headed inside,
We shut the windows,
You could still hear this music,
It was too loud and I said to my partner,
Gareth,
I said look,
Let's just go out,
Let's just go for a walk,
Let's go and park up along the coast somewhere and go for a walk and that's what we did.
We parked up,
We walked along a coastal path for two miles,
Popped into a pub,
Had a pint,
Sat outside,
It was lovely.
Then we walked back and there was this lovely sort of waft,
This aroma of cooking smells.
It's like,
Oh my gosh,
What's that?
There was a pop-up van and they were cooking mussels and we got chatting to them.
The guy farms mussels,
His wife cooked the mussels and they were selling them,
You know,
It's street food if you like.
So we then sat in the bus shelter sitting there eating these mussels and fries and you know what we had,
What I'm trying to demonstrate is that we had a really lovely experience as a result of something that we didn't want to be a part of.
Good vibes indeed,
Emily,
Good vibes indeed.
We didn't want to stay at home,
I mean it's wrong that we were effectively forced out of our house because we couldn't,
You didn't want it.
Three hours of this guy's singing his set on rotation.
Honestly it was awful and it was loud and you know we're not party poopers in any way shape or form but there's nothing we could do about it.
So we had to accept the situation for what it was,
Change our behaviour,
What can we do differently,
How can we have a great experience out of this and we did.
We had a really magical evening and that makes such a difference because if we'd have stayed at home we'd have got continuously wound up by the music.
However I was on to the council the following day just to clarify their licensing arrangements because we've got elderly neighbours and they don't like it you know and it's not right.
You know you have to stand your ground but then you have to choose your arguments and when to have them.
It is ultimately about changing your behaviour,
Taking that that raw emotion out of it because otherwise it can eat you up,
You can get frustrated and then what are they doing?
They're just winning again,
They're just taking from you and you're giving your energy to them.
Exactly how many calm and we had lovely calm and breathe,
Yes and breathe.
You couldn't do that in the house though you know because you'd got this sort of thud of the beat of the and the music was coming through even with all the windows shut and it's hot here at the moment.
Hurrah we've actually got some heat,
Yay.
It's about changing your behaviour.
I mean there's so many situations and scenarios I can describe to you that I and times in my life whereby I have done just this time and time again.
Yep gratitude,
There's learning,
There's always something that we can take from every situation scenario but you know when we get angry and frustrated and it's about us taking a step back from ourselves and going okay this is the situation,
This is scenario,
I can't do anything about this right now.
I mean sometimes you can do.
When you're in that sort of raw emotion that's when things can go a bit awry.
Take that step back,
Look at it objectively,
Look at things from a different perspective.
So for me you know it forced us to do something different that afternoon that we wouldn't have done it.
We'd have stayed at home,
We'd have just stayed in the garden.
I'd probably got hotter and sweatier and gone inside because it was so hot.
In fact there's another scenario today because my partner's gone back.
I say we're now living in Norfolk and that is about a two hour drive from where we used to live.
As part of our relocation arrangement with Gareth's business they said he could relocate as long as he went into the office twice a month,
Two days back to back.
So he's gone back and there's a gong bath in the dunes this evening and I wouldn't have been able to get there but because of the connections that we've made in the meantime,
Somebody we've met through our open water swimming is picking me up on route so I'm going with her.
So again there's an opportunity that's presented itself to me to do something different because otherwise I'd have stayed at home you know reading a book or doing a bit of meditation but instead I'm going to be lying on a beach this evening meditating with lots of gongs.
Do you know the big gongs and the sound?
We went to one a few months ago and it's beautiful.
You've got all of that energy,
That vibrational frequency.
Oh Emily you don't know about the gong baths.
They are big,
Big brass gongs.
You know if you think about the films Emily,
The big gongs where they think it's rank films and they bang the gong to start with.
Well the people that run gong baths work on the frequency so that they've got these big soft headed drumsticks and they're working the drum so it's working on the energy.
So because we're more energy than we are matter,
The vibrational frequency washes over you when you're just relaxing,
You're laying down,
You can sit up,
Lay down,
Do whatever.
It sort of activates and it washes through you.
It's a magical stuff.
So yeah really,
Really relaxing,
Calming,
Chilling.
So yeah,
So in changing our behaviour around that scenario on Sunday night,
We really had quite an exciting adventure and I mentioned it to somebody and they said oh the mussels and fries in a bus shelter are what legends are made of.
I thought well yeah that's very true.
So that was one of the things I wanted to talk to you all about today.
So I'm wondering,
I'm asking,
I'm putting it out to you.

In previous lives we've talked about people's jobs and careers because for those of you again who don't know,
I've spent 36 years working in recruitment,
Written a book about changing jobs and manifesting your dream job and all about again,
Coming back to the self,
Understanding you,
Who you are,
What makes you tick,
What fires you up and aligning your careers.
Transformation Emily,
Yeah,
Transformation.
I have transformed my life on a couple of occasions and that's great if you're going through a transformation journey.
You know it's becoming aware,
It's becoming mindful,
It's becoming more understanding of who you are,
What it is that you want to achieve,
What it is that looks like and you know you could argue is it realistic as well because when we sort of talk about coaching,
You talk about the goals and the reality and the options and the motivation,
The will that you've got to achieve things but quite honestly you know when you're working with a quantum you can look at things in a completely different way because what could suggest that it's not realistic,
You can make realistic because actually when you bring it into the present going this is what I'm going to do,
Then you kind of look at what options are available but you talk about it,
You visualize yourself in that new life.
I mean my life looks nothing like the one that I used to lead.
You know I got divorced 19 years ago now.
Back then I left my ex-husband when my son was six years old.
I had absolutely nothing,
I must say I had nothing.
I hadn't been out for six years after my son had been born apart from going to work and kids play groups and I had to start my life from scratch back at home with my parents.
Do you want to talk about the transformation of money?
That's really interesting actually.
I was listening to a track on abundance manifestations.
Now have a look at the other insight time I teach because there's lots of stuff to do with financial abundance.
Here's a thing I'm going to go off what I was talking about and come to what Amelie has put up here about transformation and no money.
Last year Amelie everything crashed in,
Everything.
My recruitment business went into administration,
I had to sell my car to pay my mortgage,
The interest rates had gone right up in the UK,
I hadn't got any money coming in,
I got more money going out and that's why I had to sell my car to pay the mortgage and you get into this mindset of lack and when you get into the mindset of lack that's all you attract in so it's about changing the narrative,
Changing the dialogue you're having internally what you're speaking because your subconscious doesn't recognise the negative so actually you've got to be really mindful about what you are inviting in so I would encourage you to look at what you have got because I think actually in all reality we all have in today's world far more than we think we've got because we are constantly marketed at via TV channels and magazines and oh bless you Amelie that's really sad.
Whatever it is that you are sick with,
Whatever you're poorly with,
Whatever your illness is,
What is it that you can help others with and educate others with because you could potentially become an Insight Timer teacher and start to earn passive income through the Insight Timer app because you don't actually have to pay to put your contact oh an ex-husband got one of them oh bless you but there are there's other ways of looking at things so when we start to focus in on what we have actually got and what you've done so when you survive a relationship like I did have a look at my How To Transform Your Life Post Divorce or Separation on Insight Timer because I've got a course on that that talks all about that transformation and my new How To Transform Manifest Your Ideal Life In 10 Days so that's a new course it went out this week have a look at that have a look at my How To Manifest Your Dream Job course as well so I've got quite a lot of course content on there that will help so yes so there's so much to be learned when we start to shift our perspective around how we experience and what we've experienced and see things as learning opportunities and shift the perspective however hard it actually is to believe that at the time it's changing that narrative in your head because what you think about is what when what you put out is what you attract back so for example last year I was very much caught up into all of this breaking down around me and I was really caught up with everything all exit points were like cemented up boxed in cemented up it's just like holy moly I can't how do I get out of this and in the end I just there was no way out I just surrendered I ended up just going I just threw my arms up in the air I can't do anything else and it's when you stop trying to control the outcome when you let go of any expectations when you trust when you surrender and you trust the process and you focus in on the stuff that you you want to attract in you take your focus off what's not serving you because when you start to focus on no money I mean I was I was like that last year I got myself caught up into it even I knew better but I couldn't it challenged me professionally personally spiritually physically emotionally and spiritually yeah because my beliefs in terms of everything's working out wonderfully were severely hammered last year and with no money coming in the mortgage rates going up couldn't get a break on my mortgage or anything like this I had to take £35,
000 put back into my business and I'm still waiting for my business to be wound up however I've had to get out of my way again this year because I've had to rely upon my partner my money's thankfully you know I have got some money that was in the sale of my house that's in this house that we now live in however last year it didn't matter that I'd got money in bricks and mortar because I couldn't couldn't sell it wasn't selling to release the capital so it's working through it it's taking stock and just letting go but knowing what it is you want to achieve where you want to get to and allowing things to flow because already Amelie you've already you know mentioned certain words like breathe and calm which is absolutely awesome and transformation because we've all got the power within us to change our lives around completely so my life looks completely different to the one that I was living 19 years ago and even to the one that I was living back in 2015 when like my partner at that time then upped and left six weeks before my 50th birthday I was single for five years before I met my partner wonderful partner I never thought I'd meet anybody like Gareth he's just absolutely amazing but in that time I was then dealing with a very very challenging son who's now 25 and we've not spoken for 18 months because he'd always been challenging but he'd got more and more and more so as he was like the alpha male in the house that I was providing trying to tell me what to do I was like living with my ex-husband again so you know I had to eventually last year put boundaries into place and like you know his behavior last year was just outrageous and it was like enough enough because when you start to learn about narcissism as well and yeah throw narcissism in there with with the business going under and everything else going on last year it nearly very nearly broke me and I'm a strong resilient person so when you've got everything thrown at you all at the same time however you know I had to learn again and in the meantime we we have got through and you will get through Amelie and everybody who's listening that might be facing challenges at the moment thank you Maya thank you I believe honesty is the best policy and you know I'm not here to say oh I've got a wonderful life it was challenging brutal and I've had to get out of my own way I've had to do that again I say this year because I've had to rely on my partner to pay the mortgage but it's everything's just starting to shift hallelujah because when you work you expect to get some return on income don't you and I've been rebuilding because my recruitment business went into administration last year it didn't cope with all the changes all the things that have happened in the UK from Brexit to Covid to the economy I didn't want to be doing recruitment by the time I'm 60 which will happen next year but you know I had to let go of it and when you let go a vacuum doesn't exist anyway so things have to come in I was trialing different things I did a lot of somatic healing around narcissism to actually help me all the personal development work you can do all the inner work it's so important but do you know what in addition to the inner work it's really important to look after you whatever you feed into your body you know what it's you're listening to what you are eating what exercise you're doing the movement I like to think that I'm reasonably fit so I go swimming sea swimming we go to yoga we'll go on the bikes go to boot camp I'll go out trail running however last week somatic healing it works energetically Amelie it works on the energy that's blocked in your system and releasing that it doesn't focus in on the issue specifically it just works with that and it's releasing it and sending it back out to the universe for recycling so yeah back to my energy levels and movement because it's so important I did my first stint in our local charity shop I spent three hours on my feet I was absolutely pooped last week absolutely exhausted because I'm not used to standing all day spend too much time as too many of us do we spend too much time in front of computers in front of PCs and we need to get moving we need to do more movement not just bursts like I do which is great I love it but we all generally need to move more be more mindful about what we're digesting in terms of the television and what we're watching and what we're listening to what we're reading what we're taking in I mean Insight Timer is such a great platform for the the different teachers you get on here so Amelie you could look at somatic healing on here I'm sure there'll be teachers that do somatic healing you've got meditations on here you've got guided visualizations you've got all nature different therapies there's about 20,
000 teachers on Insight Timer there's so much thank you Amelie do some stuff it's exciting I just love it I personally love personal development I love learning new things because then I can share it with other people as well because I feel very much of a conduit between two worlds so the coaching is very much of a tool that sits you know with my career in recruitment running my own business etc to then sort of my spiritual sides of bringing those two together to really encourage people to get dig in deep because everything is surmountable when you change your mindset change the way you think you act you behave like I started out talking about inspire exactly expire there's so much inspiring stuff on Insight Timer as well when you start to change your behavior around everything you live a happier life it's much healthier it's happier when you look at things from a different perspective when you look at things and take the learning I'm not trying to be glib about oh everything's rosy because everything isn't rosy you have to have dark and light light and shade you've got to have the ying and the yang you've got to have the balance I'm a Libra you've got to have the balance balance all the way with me anyway I don't think you learn anything without the challenges that are presented because if everything was just like this there wouldn't be the experiences when things are going well it's great and don't get me wrong you know living here I'm absolutely appreciative of every single moment and quite often I feel quite emotional and I could almost cry because I'm so happy and so content that we are here that we are able to live our best life and we've made it happen after the year that 2023 was and it wasn't just 2023 because it was the back end of 2022 as well and it's taken me the first half of this year to really get into my sink into into a new way of being and becoming an Insight Timer teacher because you know 36 years really focusing in on recruitment even though I qualified as a coach back in 2012 I've still had to carve out another life transformation for myself this year age 58 and now three quarters but it's what we learn and it's when you you embrace those challenges however hard they are and take the learning that they present to you it really is there's a guy that I don't know personally personally because I've never met him but he's somebody I've communicated with via one of my social media platforms he had to have his leg amputated from the knee down he was on holiday somewhere and I think it was an insect bite that got infected and can't get over his mindset how it must be to suddenly lose a limb is incredible and I think he's now looking at a way of giving back from what he's learnt and he can take that forward and go and give back to he'd been in the army it wasn't an army injury at all or anything like that but he was and so he's thinking about working with army vets so all the opportunities oh my gosh Amelie you've having all these experiences you've got some deep learning going on there that you're going to be able to share with others once you start to sort of formulate it and you can use your learning and the wisdom that you've gained crikey whoa wow wow wow wow wow we've only ever all of us have only ever got the present moment so dragging anything with us from yesterday last week last month last year there's no point we can learn from it we can plan for the future but that's why it's always so important to be here and in the now and I'm really appreciative of you all being here and in the now with me today too please do give me a follow and do go and explore all the other Insight Timer teachers out there as well because there's so much content on there go and check out my courses and content oh thank you Sheila thank you for being here again I will do indeed looking forward to my gong bath later I had a coaching client this morning so I was with her for a good hour and a half it was a first session it was great so we've really got everything out of the box and explored things it was really good start to a six month working together which is exciting so so yeah make life exciting change your behavior change your language look at things from the positive perspective take the learning share your wisdom you can have a look at my profile on there as well you can find out a bit more about me on there oh I will do Ellen I will enjoy my gong bath thank you very much I'm going to love you and leave you and I think we've covered changing behavior today too namaste thank you so much for joining me have a wonderful rest of the day wherever you are in the world and I look forward to seeing you all again and doing it all again next week take care everyone goodbye you're very welcome Emma you're very welcome enjoy the rest of your day have a wonderful day everyone take care goodbye
