Hi everyone,
My name is Samantha,
Blissful Soul.
Today,
Our practice is going to set you up for a full day practice of gratitude.
Doing a practice such as this will not only put you in the right mindset,
But it will also have a ripple effect for those around you.
So to do a practice such as this,
I want you to go ahead and close your eyes if that feels right to you.
We're going to go ahead and come to a comfortable position.
Get as comfortable as possible.
And we're going to take a few deep breaths to get started.
So go ahead and just take a breath in.
And a breath out.
Another deep breath in.
Another deep breath out.
And as you notice how you're breathing,
Just kind of notice how often the breath just takes care of itself.
You just breathe every day.
It's just moving in and out by itself.
Keeping your beautiful,
Beautiful soul alive.
So today,
I'd like to ask you to commit to not taking this miracle for granted.
And just see if you can take some inventory of some of the things which you're grateful for.
And just let them go through your mind throughout the day and help them calm your body.
And we're going to start it out by thinking about five things that we're grateful for and that matter to you.
And sometimes,
Especially when we're stressed in our life,
This can be difficult.
Because when we're asked to think about these things,
Our minds think that we need to think of these big,
Gigantic things.
Such as big,
Beautiful houses or these big,
Important jobs.
They can be little things in our life.
They can be the sun's out that day or that we have a place to sleep.
Or maybe that there was food on the table or a friend sent us a text that said hello or some emoji that made us laugh.
Anything like that that we have in our life,
Think of those small things.
Or if it's large,
That's great too.
I'll just give you a little bit of time to see if you can think about five things.
And if it's difficult,
Even thinking of one thing right now.
And then when you're done with that,
I want you to bring to mind a person for whom you're grateful for.
Someone who has influenced some positivity in your life.
Perhaps you see them as a protector or a benefactor.
A loved one.
A mentor in your life.
Someone whom you're grateful for.
Just savor this image of this person.
Memory.
And try to allow the image of this person to be held in the cells of your body.
Not just within the mind,
But within your body too.
The motions.
Savoring this feeling of gratitude for this person.
And as those emotions are running through you,
Notice anything that happens in your body when you do this.
And then at any point during your day,
See if you can reflect upon one important thing that you learned either today or yesterday.
One important thing that you have learned in this journey of life and feeling gratitude for having learned this new thing.
As there's so much knowledge that comes into our life,
Sometimes it can seem overwhelming through text messages and news stories and YouTube videos.
And people talking and sharing and calling.
Emails.
But this can also be a good thing too,
Because we're constantly learning.
Maybe that you didn't know before.
Even if it's a new recipe or something for self-care.
And just say thank you to the universe for allowing you to know this new thing in your life that you can implement.
And then today,
When you let someone know that you're thinking of them,
It could be sending a card.
Calling them if you haven't chatted in a while.
Writing a note.
Or even sending a text or an email.
Just letting them know that you're thinking of them.
And just don't expect anything in return.
We're sharing your appreciation for them.
And acknowledging this person.
We're not expecting anything in return.
Just sharing our love and gratitude.
And then maybe at some point,
See if you can take a few moments to sit quietly and allow a sense of peace to enter your heart.
Allowing the sense of peace to flow into your heart.
Perhaps lighten a candle to create a grateful intention.
Settling into the sense of peace.
Allowing the sense of peace to enter your heart.
Residing into the space of gratefulness for a few precious moments.
Informing the intention to show absolutely wholeheartedly to everything you do today.
Noticing at the end of the day if anything changed because of this intention to absolutely and wholeheartedly show up with gratitude.
And seeing if you can make a decision to show your most challenging moments today as opportunities,
What might be learning moments.
How can you cultivate even small settlements of gratefulness for the gifts that come with a struggle.
Seeing your most challenging moments today as opportunities instead.
And see if you can turn all of the waiting moments of the day to moments of heightened awareness.
If you're waiting in line,
Waiting for a meeting,
Waiting in traffic,
Waiting on a phone call.
Waiting to get anywhere.
See if you can turn these moments into moments of heightened awareness instead.
And try to be fully present in these times to what might be a blessing in disguise.
The blessings and protections around you.
Notice at the time in between things is a huge gift that you might enjoy.
And if you share a meal with other people today,
Ask each person to share something for which they're grateful for.
Maybe even two or three things for which they're grateful.
And share your gratefulness back.
And if you're eating alone,
Bring to mind something for which you're grateful for and dedicate your meal to that gratefulness.
These are some sample intentions to cultivate and savor these feelings of gratitude each and every day.
So that you can have a ripple effect on those around you.
And make positive changes to all of those in this world.
And create a sense of peace,
Love,
And joy.
Take care,
My friend.
Thank you for sharing this journey with me.
And may you be safe.
And I wish you the best.
