Take your children on an adventure towards making friends with a gentle giant, who is there to hold them when the big emotions feel a little too much. This visualisation ends with some unique reflection questions and journaling practice, so they can breathe life into what arose for them throughout. This Practice is a part of my 'Rooted Families' Nervous System Regulation Workbook.

Meditation Prompt 3 The Gentle Giant Close your eyes and picture a gentle giant sitting next to you.

This giant is friendly and kind,

With a big warm smile.

They place their huge comforting hand on your shoulder,

Making you feel safe and protected.

Breathe in deeply and feel the warmth of their kindness spread through you.

Open your heart and let go of any worries,

Knowing the gentle giant is there to watch over you.

Draw or describe your gentle giant.

What do they look like?

How did it feel to have them by your side?

Did they say anything to you that made you feel safe and happy?
