And so welcome to your 15-minute mystery meditation and today we are weaving in these qualities of non-striving and equanimity.

And so as you find that comfortable position coming into your nest,

Insulating that perfect posture that supports you for the length of the practice,

Just begin to settle in,

Arriving into that state of relative stillness,

Softening all the muscles,

The joints,

Letting your bones and your skin be heavy,

Scanning from head to toe or toe to crown,

Just softening into each of these structures,

And stacking your head over heart,

Over pelvis,

Ever so slight tuck of the chin,

Lengthening out that good spine of yours,

And beginning to move from your head to your heart,

Already beginning to weave in that quality of non-striving by moving away from the cognitive processes,

The thinking,

The planning,

The analysing,

And being with your heart and your breath,

Practicing from the neck down,

To aid in channeling this flow of energy into your heart space away from the head,

You might like to take a few deep breaths,

Just slowly and gently in and out through the nose,

And as that breath of yours begins to fall into its natural rhythm,

Can you apply a very gentle constriction on your exhale,

Constriction in the throat,

Inviting in that ujjayi breath,

I like to think of this as my ocean breath,

So as you exhale,

Just inviting in the slight constriction in the throat,

So the exhale becomes more audible,

Sounding like an ocean,

Dropping anchor in your breath,

Your ujjayi breath,

Naturally as your practice deepens,

You may begin to relax the throat and that audible sound falls away,

And that's okay,

If you're still feeling connected strongly with the breath,

That's okay,

You can let that fall away at any time,

Otherwise just allowing that soft vibration that comes from your throat with your ujjayi breath,

To just rock you into this state of being as opposed to doing,

And observing with a gentle and kind awareness,

Where the mind perhaps has gone,

If it's not with you in your breath,

Just inviting it to come back,

Naturally it will wander to other things,

Gravitate towards that striving,

Doing mindset,

Filling space,

Just showing it another option,

Showing it what it's like to just come and be,

Weaving in this quality of equanimity,

Saying silently to yourself,

Thank you mind,

But I'd like to show you my breath,

Why don't you come and sit with me for a little while,

And just gently come back to that ujjayi breath,

Giving that striver,

That busy human being within you,

The permission to be here,

The permission to give yourself entirely over to your ujjayi breath,

There's nowhere else you need to be,

Nothing else you need to be doing,

Basking in the reprieve that your breath offers,

Beginning to let go of that constriction within the throat,

Letting that audible exhale begin to dissolve into a natural sounding exhale,

And just slowly deepening the inhale,

Lengthening that exhale,

Reawakening your muscles and joints,

Your bones and skin,

With some gentle movement,

And before opening those good eyes of yours,

Just taking a moment to set an intention for your day or evening ahead,

How might you,

As best you can,

Weave in these qualities of non-striving and equanimity into your day or evening ahead,

And I express a heartfelt thanks to you for carving out this time to practice with me,

I wish you nothing but kind thoughts,

Kind words,

And kind actions,

Not only to those you come into contact with,

But yourself,

Because you're a human being in there too,

So until next time,

Take care.
