Welcome to your practice,

Lovely being.

Start this meditation in a position you can sustain for the duration of the session.

You can rest seated,

Standing or supine.

Take three slow,

Conscious breaths in and out.

Feel the belly expanding on the inhalation.

Notice the sides of the ribcage reaching outwards as you fill yourself with each breath.

Sense the space between your shoulders becoming broad as you breathe.

As you become aware of how you're breathing,

Arrive in the present moment as well.

Soften your physical body into the surface supporting you.

Continue to ease into your breathing and sense distractions falling away as you become intentional with making time to check in.

Making time to connect to yourself,

Becoming aware of how you're interacting with the world around you.

Start to focus your mind.

Our meditation focus today is learning how to become consistent.

For a moment,

Visualize or feel into an activity you want to commit to.

This activity you're thinking of adds value to your life and the lives of others in some way.

For example,

The goal can be wanting to improve your sleep and the activity that gets you towards this goal can be getting to bed 10 minutes earlier than you usually would every day.

Or it can look like a desire to spend more time helping your loved ones.

The activity that helps you move towards a better bond with those you love could be asking if there's something they need support in getting started with and occasionally helping them with this,

Even if it's just for 5 or 10 minutes.

Take a moment to bring this value-adding activity into the forefront of your awareness.

Think about the ways this value-adding activity will improve your life.

How does completing this task make you feel?

How will others benefit from you becoming more consistent?

Move with intention.

Create a single-pointed focus on taking small steps every day to ensure this value-added task is done daily.

This could look like dedicating a small window of time for this activity to begin with.

The idea is to start small and gradually increase the time and effort you pour into becoming consistent.

By taking small steps you start to build the discipline you need to commit to what you desire and need most.

Small steps are a wonderful way to move mindfully and gently.

Building a practice that is sustainable for your mind and body in the long run.

There is so much value and meaning that can be found in becoming consistent at an activity that benefits you and others.

Continue to root yourself in our focus for this meditation in becoming consistent.

Visualizing or feeling into this activity that you want to commit to.

As you do this,

Notice your breathing and notice where you feel sensation throughout your whole body.

As the intention of this meditation starts to crystallize,

See if you can give yourself a gentle reminder to celebrate yourself and those around you.

As often as you can,

Make time to celebrate your efforts and commitments,

No matter how small.

As you root your awareness in becoming consistent,

You may start to notice more people around you committed to improving themselves and the world we share.

Perhaps see if you can share kind words of encouragement and acknowledgement for the work that they do.

Doing so in a way that feels genuine and sincere.

Using this as an opportunity to create small pockets of joy and pleasure for oneself and others every day.

Enjoy a few more moments letting this meditation settle in your field of awareness.

Contemplating how you will align your thoughts,

Words and actions on becoming consistent starting today.

I will signal the end of this meditation with a bell.

The bell is invited.
