Find a comfy place for your body to be,

Away from the noise,

Away from the busyness.

The intention today is to become aware of your body on a deeper level.

As you rest,

Wherever you are,

Notice your breath.

How does it feel?

Are your breaths short,

Quick,

Shallow,

Are they deep,

Long,

Full?

Where does your breath land in your body,

Your chest,

Your belly,

Somewhere in between?

Can you hear your breath?

Are you breathing through your nose,

Your mouth?

Try to breathe deeper,

Slower,

Fuller.

Find a pace of breathing that feels good for you.

Then bring your attention and your awareness to your muscles.

Become aware of any physical tension,

Soreness,

Tightness,

Stiffness.

Start with your head,

Your face,

Your neck,

All the little muscles and fibers connecting your head and your expressions.

Do you feel anything here in these muscles?

Move toward your shoulders,

The front and the back,

Your collarbones,

Chest,

Pecs,

Breasts,

Your biceps,

Your shoulder blades.

How do these muscles in your upper body feel?

Take a moment to settle in to this area,

To feel your body,

To breathe deeply.

Then bring your attention,

Your awareness,

Lower,

Lower,

To your abs,

Your ribcage,

Wrapping all the way around you,

The muscles along either side of your spine,

Your lower back,

Tailbone,

Hips,

Your tummy,

The layers of muscles and cords and fibers all there.

Feel these areas.

Notice how they feel.

How are they doing?

Breathe deeply into this area.

Bring your breath lower into your belly,

Into your pelvis.

Lower your attention with the intention of noticing your tension in your thighs,

Your glutes,

Your bum,

Your hamstrings,

Your calves and your feet.

Feel the muscles all throughout your lower body.

Breathe here in this space for a moment or two,

Noticing what you notice.

Then turn your awareness to your joints,

The bends in your body that help you move,

That make you mobile,

Your neck,

Your shoulders,

Your elbows,

Wrists,

Knuckles,

And fingers,

Your hips,

Knees,

Ankles,

And toes.

How do your joints feel?

What do you notice?

Bring this conscious energy,

Your conscious breath,

To each of the functions keeping you alive,

Maintaining your life,

Always working,

Always on,

Just for you,

Your nervous system responsible for fight or flight,

Anxiety,

Relaxation.

What state is your nervous system in right now?

Breathe into this space,

Offering love and oxygen,

Then bring yourself to your circulatory system,

The blood pumping through your veins,

Carrying this oxygen you're breathing gently to the rest of your body.

Are you hot,

Cold?

How does your heart feel?

Breathe deeper,

Breathe slower,

With more intention,

More awareness.

Notice your digestive system from your esophagus down into your belly and your bottom.

Do you feel light,

Efficient,

Easy,

Or maybe slow,

Muggy,

Backed up?

What does this area,

This system,

Need from you?

Feel into your immune system,

How does your vitality feel,

Working against viruses and bacteria,

Keeping you healthy,

Do you feel strong or overwhelmed?

Take a moment,

Take a breath,

Slow down,

Give your immune system and all the parts of your body a little break,

Keep breathing,

This time,

Settle into your own rhythm,

Come back to this moment,

Your toes,

Your fingers,

Your legs,

Your arms,

Come back to the room,

Open your eyes when you're ready and now feel more connected with a deeper understanding to your body than ever.
