Hello beautiful precious you and thank you for doing this practice with me.
You've been drawn here because the question what if it was safe to love myself really resonates with you.
It's opened something up for you that's already there and waiting for you to come to the doorway of your own heart.
Come through that doorway and find out more about loving yourself and open up those channels inside you that absolutely are there for you to offer you love through all the ups and downs and twists and turns of life.
It is safe for you to love yourself no matter what you've learned,
No matter what you've been taught,
No matter what's happened in the past,
Right now in the present.
It is safe to love yourself and you can begin from any point.
What we're going to do now is use a type of self-touch which I'll show you,
I'll teach it to you called Havening and this has been proven to create Delta waves in the deep regions of your brain called the limbic system.
What it means then is you can drop down into your heart,
Your higher self,
Your wise,
Innate,
Loving,
Healing body and be able to feel good there because this touch also stimulates your brain to release feelings of being settled,
Happy,
Neurotransmitters like dopamine,
Serotonin,
Oxytocin,
Endorphins.
How wonderful and what you're going to do as you do this touch which I'll take you through is offer yourself some affirmations.
So an affirmation doesn't always work for everybody,
It doesn't always feel real or authentic.
Affirmation asks these what-if questions and just see what comes.
Being in your heart and your feeling body this touch helps us not be too heady.
Alright so the touch itself,
There are three ways of using self-touch in Havening and you can choose all three and move between them or you can stick to one.
The first one,
You can do this with me now,
Is to gently rub your palms together while moving your arms from side to side.
Beautiful.
The second one is to cross your arms over your body and stroke down from your shoulders to your elbows in a slow soothing way.
And the third is to touch your cheeks and stroke upwards gently or stroke your face in any way.
So let's begin.
Just allow yourself to come into any comfortable position.
Soften into your body.
Breathe some soft breaths into you.
Feel how you begin to naturally settle on the earth that's holding you now.
And then begin maybe rubbing your hands together from side to side.
What if it's safe for me to love myself?
And repeat these words to yourself.
What if it's okay for me to see the best in myself?
What if I start to look at myself through a more loving lens?
Maybe stroking from your shoulders down to your elbows now.
What if I'm worthy of love,
Joy,
Happiness?
You're stroking your face,
Your cheeks.
What if I am worthy of love,
Joy,
And happiness?
What if I'm worthy of love,
Joy,
And happiness?
Stroking your palms,
Moving your arms side to side.
And now finishing this sentence.
What if I'm worthy of love because.
.
.
What if I can grow in love towards myself every day?
Continuing havening touch any way you like.
I'm open to the possibility of loving myself.
I'm open to the possibility of loving myself more and more every day.
Finishing the sentence.
I'm open to the possibility of loving myself more and more every day because.
.
.
I'm ready to renew my relationship with myself.
Keeping going with the havening touch.
I'm choosing to learn a new way.
Finishing the sentence.
How it feels to know that is.
.
.
Keep applying the havening touch and just notice how you're feeling inside your body right now.
If there's any shifts,
Any new feelings that feel good,
May feel a bit new and unfamiliar,
But they're calling you in to be felt,
Then you can perhaps take some deep breaths to really receive that feeling deeper and deeper.
As if it could just sink into your bones.
And now resting your hands,
Begin to bring your awareness back to the space you're in.
You're gently fluttering open your eyes if they've been closed.
Keeping your gaze soft.
Feeling the skin on your palms,
Which may be settled on your lap or rubbing your finger and thumb together.
Feeling your clothing or your face.
Taking a stretch.
And now thank yourself for entering into this loving space with yourself,
Knowing that it's right here for you to come back to anytime,
Even right now if you want to do it again.
And whatever you've experienced,
Please be gentle and curious rather than judging.
Watch what changes,
What shifts,
What might heal the more you do this practice.
And where will it take you next?
Whatever moment you're now going to move into,
Ask yourself what would it mean to add love to myself in this moment?
Or what would it mean to give love to myself in this moment?
Whatever that moment is for you.
Bless you.
Thank you for joining me and I hope we'll be together again soon.
