Welcome,

Let's create this moment as a gentle invitation to step away from the rush,

The noise and the demands pulling at your attention.

Creating a space that is just for you,

A space to soften,

To slow down and allow your body and your mind to come back to a quieter space.

Begin by finding a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down where your body can be fully supported.

Soften your gaze or if it feels safe gently close your eyes.

Bring your awareness to your breath without needing to change anything just yet.

We're just noticing the inhale,

The exhale,

The rhythm your body naturally creates without effort.

And now with your next few breaths begin to consciously slow down the exhale.

Inhale gently through your nose and now exhale slowly through your mouth.

Longer,

Softer and emptier.

In your rhythm,

At your own time,

Inhale naturally and as you exhale invite it to be just a little longer than the inhale.

As you do this feel what begins to shift.

This invitation for a longer exhale is a signal to your nervous system,

A message that it is safe to relax,

That you do not need to be switched on all the time.

That rest is allowed.

That stillness is sacred.

Inhale filling gently like the tide coming in.

Exhale releasing slowly like a wave gently drawing back.

Notice what it feels like to give yourself this space and this time to not rush,

To not do,

To not fill this moment with anything,

To not try to fix,

But to just simply be.
