Hi.
Welcome to your sacred teaching,
Also known as a sacred kiss.
This teaching is here to guide you through the tender terrain of discomfort,
Fear,
And overwhelm,
Without rushing to fix or escape it.
I invite you to close your eyes,
Breathe gently,
And allow the words to support you as you return to yourself,
One breath at a time.
Settle into the experience of discomfort.
It is okay to feel bad.
We can't heal a wound if we don't feel the pain of it.
Maybe you are experiencing old patterns of fear.
Fear of doing something wrong,
Fear of missing something,
Fear of being judged,
Of being disliked,
Of being unseen by those you love and respect.
Your mind generates thoughts of all the worst case scenarios.
Fear is overwhelming.
Anxiety,
Paralyzing.
The wounds of your mind are bleeding.
Oh,
Sweet,
Beautiful you.
Let your awareness of your breath be the salve that heals your wounds.
The wounds of your mind will try to convince you that your fears are real.
They are not.
Don't make them real by believing in them.
When fear runs the show,
Even simple daily life becomes heavy.
We lose sight of what we truly need.
Where can you find space to slow your pace?
Ask yourself,
What do I need?
You are likely immersed in the daily chores of living.
This is a very fast-paced world.
The days are full,
And we become immersed in the roles that we play,
Sometimes buried in them,
Suffocated.
We confuse relaxing with numbing,
Intoxicants and scrolling short-term fixes.
Are they working?
Are they what you really need?
What do you need?
A walk in nature?
A dance party in your kitchen?
A long bath with candles?
Dinner with a friend?
A night alone with a book?
A slow,
Luxurious nap?
Do you need help?
Do you need more connection?
Slow down.
Become aware of your breath.
Feel your body breathing.
Feel the body,
From the knees to the toes,
From the ground to the crown.
And feel yourself.
What you need in this moment will become very clear when you slow down and listen.
It is paramount that you listen,
That you know yourself.
Because if you cannot give yourself what you need,
How can anybody else?
Anchor your awareness in your breath.
Ride the breath as you ride the waves of discomfort toward a peaceful shore.
