Good morning and welcome to day 2 of our 7 day morning meditation journey to help you start your day from a place of positive self-connection,
Inner peacefulness,
And personal power.
Come into a comfortable position,
Close your eyes if you'd like,
And begin to turn your attention inward.
Noticing your breath and letting it become deeper,
Slower,
And more complete.
As you slow down your breath,
Feel yourself beginning to settle into this moment.
In today's practice,
You will establish a connection with the earth so you can feel grounded and stable within as you move throughout your day.
When we're not grounded in our body and connected to the earth,
It's really easy to get caught up in the mind,
Overwhelmed by emotions,
And to be more reactive to the world around us.
But when you know how to ground yourself,
It becomes a superpower that helps you stay rooted and calm no matter what life throws at you.
So again,
Come back to your breath and start to feel how your breath is generating movement through your body.
And deepen your breath.
Feeling it reach down into the space of your belly,
And then moving even deeper,
Reaching your breath down into the space of your pelvis and hips.
Feeling the expansion in the body as you breathe in,
And let your body relax as you breathe out.
Feel yourself exhaling tension,
Stress,
And exhaustion.
Now send your breath down even further into your body,
Breathing into your legs and feet.
And if you can't feel the breath physically moving into the legs,
Imagine it moving into the legs.
You could even use your mind's eye to see the breath as a liquid light,
Flowing down to the tips of your toes as you inhale.
And as you exhale,
Imagine the breath just spreading out,
Illuminating the lower parts of your body.
And again,
Letting go of any holding,
Any tightness,
Any stress as you breathe out.
Now that you're more present and grounded in your physical body,
Begin to feel down into the floor beneath you.
And just notice if the floor feels steady to you today,
If it feels solid.
Notice if you feel supported by the floor.
And then send your awareness down even deeper into the earth beneath the floor.
Imagine that you're growing your very own roots down into the earth.
And let these energetic roots anchor yourself into the center of the earth.
As you become more and more anchored to the earth,
Feel how the earth's energy is beginning to flow up through your roots into your body.
And notice how the earth's energy feels to you.
Does it have a color?
Does it have a texture?
Does it feel heavy?
Does it feel thick?
Drink in as much of the earth's nourishing energy as you'd like.
Let it fill up your entire body.
And when this feels complete,
In your own way,
Thank the earth for providing you with this sustaining energy.
And then just tune in to this sense of grounded presence that you've cultivated within you.
Breathe it in and fully receive it.
And to seal in this connection with the earth,
Draw one hand and rest it over your belly.
And your other hand can come to rest over your heart.
And take a breath in through your nose and feel the breath moving beneath your hands.
And then just sigh out through an open mouth.
Releasing your jaw,
Feeling the weight of your body.
And do that one more time.
Just nice deep breath in,
Letting your hands fill out with the breath.
Sighing out through an open mouth.
Sighing out through an open mouth.
Carry this sense of groundedness with you throughout your day,
Leaning upon it whenever you need a source of strength or stability.
