Welcome.

In this meditation,

We are going to identify our feelings by tuning into our bodies.

Our bodies process and feel our emotions.

So when we can't put words to them,

Our bodies can help.

We will connect with our major body parts and do a body scan to find our emotions.

Then,

At the end,

We will release the ones that do not serve us.

I recommend that you have a journal handy so you can write down what comes up.

This will allow you to return to the points that you need to get more information from or that need more clearing.

By writing this stuff down,

You're also allowing your mind to stay relaxed and in a space where it can tune into your body,

Knowing that you have the information to come back to later.

Let's begin by getting into a comfortable position and allowing yourself to settle in and release any tension or anxiety.

Allowing the surface your body is resting on to hold you.

Allowing your muscles to fully relax.

And release all that tension.

Turn your attention to your breath.

Begin by breathing in to a count of four.

And exhaling to a count of six.

Allowing that rhythm to relax you even more.

Turn your attention to your body.

Starting at your head,

What do you notice?

Ask your head what feeling it is holding on to.

What does it want you to know?

Take time to listen to more than just the surface answer.

There may be multiple answers that your body wants to share with you.

Move down to your throat.

What do you notice?

Ask your throat if it is holding on to any feelings that you should know about.

Move down to your heart.

What do you notice?

Ask your heart what feelings it is holding on to.

What do you need to know about these feelings?

Remember to take time and allow more answers to come in than just the first thing.

Now move down to your gut area.

What do you notice?

Ask your gut what feelings it is holding on to.

What do you need to know about those feelings?

Now move down to your legs and feet.

What do you notice?

Ask what emotions they are holding on to.

What information do they want to share with you about these feelings?

Now turn your attention to your entire body.

Scan it for any areas where you feel like an emotion might be stuck.

Or where you are feeling pain or a tingling sensation.

Something to identify that that part of your body wants to share something with you.

Now ask it what feeling it is holding on to.

What information do you need to know?

Ask your body if there is any wisdom that it wants to share about how to deal with this feeling.

Finally,

Let's wash all those emotions not serving you out of your body.

Beginning at the top of your head,

Imagine a white light pushing all of those emotions out through your feet.

Once all of those emotions have been pushed out,

Imagine the white light being cleansed by Mother Earth and coming back up through the feet with healing energy to cleanse and protect your body.

Moving from your feet all the way up to the top of your head.

Take a moment to relax and enjoy this refreshed state.

When you're ready,

Begin to slowly start to open your eyes if they've been closed.

Look around the room,

Allowing yourself to adjust back to the present moment.

When you're ready,

I encourage you next to take any notes you wrote down and dig deeper into what was being held in your body.

If you didn't take notes,

Take a moment now to write down what you uncovered and then explore more about that in your journal.

If you need to return to your body in order to get more information,

You can either do this meditation again or turn on some calming music and tune back into your body.

The answers will come over time.

Thank you for meditating with me today.
