This is a guided meditation to help you invite peace,
Calm,
Quiet in a busy day or maybe a busy life.
Just taking a minute to tune in.
Sometimes it's helpful to set just a mini intention even for these brief few minutes.
An intention that I'll set is that you're able to find some peace and relaxation in whatever you're doing at whatever time you choose to use this.
So let's just start by noticing your breathing wherever it is in your body,
Any place that you can notice it.
And just be an observer to that breath.
Just remembering that you have breath.
Sometimes we forget in our busyness.
So just taking a moment to tune in,
To notice it,
To be with it.
The breath happens constantly without awareness,
Keeping you alive.
Just tune into it now and notice how it sustains you.
With each passing breath,
Allow the exhale to calm you more and more.
If your mind drifts,
Just gently guide it back to the breath.
Now allow your breath to become deeper,
Fuller,
Richer.
Even if it's just a bit,
A bit deeper.
Notice the shift.
Notice the shift of more awareness of breath and more depth.
And just allow each breath to invite you deeper and deeper into a state of relaxation.
You're training your brain to unhook from every other passing sensory stimulation that comes in through your senses.
And creating a habit of noticing your breath.
The thing that's constantly there,
Keeping you alive,
That we all often forget.
As you're tuning in to those breaths,
Just imagine the breath filling your entire body from head to toe,
Front to back,
And side to side.
Allowing the breath to expand into every space of your body.
Allow the breath to reach far and wide over every muscle,
Every tendon,
Every ligament and joint and bone.
Allow the breath to calm and relax every single area of your entire body.
Imagine the breath just rolling through your body,
Expanding from the center of you at your core,
Where your diaphragm lives,
Sending oxygen to every single part of your body,
Life giving air.
And all that air fills your entire body with peace and calm.
One breath.
The next breath.
The next breath.
A choice to tune inward instead of outward.
And in a moment,
We'll start to draw this meditation to a close.
Bringing all the awareness into your entire body from head to toe,
Front to back,
And side to side.
Bringing that with you into the next moment and the next moment at any time you choose to remember it throughout the day.
