A Journey Into Your Past Lives

Hello and welcome.

This is a class on past lives.

And speaking of past lives,

Humans go through reincarnation,

But what do shoes go through?

Reboot.

I just like to start off with a joke.

Really,

Past lives are an interesting topic because so much of what we're experiencing in our current life is based off of what we have done in our past.

Even if we get rid of the idea of past lives for a moment and we just think about that in a normal way,

In the decisions that you make in your day to day life,

Right here and now,

How much of that is made based off of things that have happened to you previously,

Right?

And so it may be things that are obvious,

Like you do bad at performing something and so you don't want to do it again,

Or you get rejected by somebody and so you start to lose confidence or whatever it may be.

But the other thing that can happen is,

Say as a kid,

You went roller skating and it's your first time going,

You have all your hopes and dreams up,

You really want to be good at it.

You see other kids doing it and they look really cool and you start going,

You start going a little too fast and you hit a rock and maybe you fall on your face,

You fall kind of painfully.

And so maybe you don't ever want to try that again.

Or you have an aversion to doing potentially hazardous things in general.

It really sticks out in your mind,

You know.

Versus if you go to do this roller skating and all of a sudden you're having really good success,

It's nice and flat,

You know,

You're getting your turns in and maybe you even have someone there who's cheering you on,

They're telling you how great you are,

How amazing you are for doing it,

Really hyping you up.

Maybe that memory sticks out in your mind and you want to go on to pursue more activities that give you that feeling.

Maybe different performances or sports or things that get you that level of validation.

But the other way that it can happen is,

What if it doesn't even stick out in your mind?

What if it's something that happens when you're say,

Four or five years old?

Something where you're so young that you don't even retain a lot of those memories at a mental,

Cognitive level.

Well,

At a body level,

You're still going to have that remembrance.

It's still going to be in there.

And so you might be making those decisions on your current life based off of that thing that happened that you're not even remembering.

It's being informed at a subconscious or at a body level.

Well,

If you can understand that,

Then it's not a far stretch to consider that maybe a similar thing happens with past lives.

You may have a traumatic event happen,

Lessons that you did or didn't learn.

You may have some sort of unmet desire in a past life that carried over from that life to this one.

We sometimes call that karma.

And so whether you believe in past lives or not,

They can provide invaluable insights into your current life.

And knowing about them isn't just some fun trick,

But rather it can help you to shift your beliefs and make your unconscious habits or fears conscious.

You can do something about it,

Right?

You can affect your life.

So you can see how knowing your past actions,

Having some insight there could be helpful.

You know,

There's a good book on this too.

It's called It Didn't Start With You.

And in a brief summary,

It shows that a lot of people's deepest pains,

Their fears,

Their phobias,

It didn't start with something that happened to them personally in their life,

But rather it happened to somebody up their family line or somebody that they were connected to at an energetic level or genetically.

There was some sort of connection there.

Maybe it was even at more of an epigenetic level.

Right?

And so the same can be true for past lives.

So one example that I have is I had a client that was deathly afraid of flying and she didn't know why.

She just knew anytime she tried to get on a plane,

Tried to go to the airport,

She had this massive fear.

And this was a person who was successful in every other avenue of their life,

You know,

Really high performer,

Really high achiever.

And so naturally she also enjoys traveling and has the means to do so.

And so this poses a pretty big problem for her because she needs to be able to travel for work and for pleasure and everything like that.

And so I was giving her a reading and I was looking at the energy of where that fear was coming from.

And it wasn't even coming from this life,

But rather it was coming from a past life where she had been in a sort of a controlling country that was a little bit suppressive to its people.

And she had escaped that country and moved to a different country,

Right?

And had a good life and everything like that.

But she went back to visit because she wanted to visit her family and her culture that she came from.

And when she came back,

They wouldn't let her leave.

They kept her there.

They wouldn't give her a work visa or permit her to leave the country.

They wanted her to stay.

And so they were restricting of their citizens in that way,

Right?

And in her current life,

She's Russian and living in America.

And so this posed a little bit of a problem that energy had been triggered because there's some similarities,

Some energies in her life today that would activate that memory of a past life,

Right?

Because we have a lot of past lives,

But we're only going to be operating out of or acting off of certain ones,

Certain ones that are still affecting us.

And sometimes it's affecting us because it's a more recent past life,

One that's closer relatively,

But more often than not,

The past life that's affecting us is one that is in relationship to what you're experiencing in your life,

Right?

So kind of like that saying that history repeats itself or that things stay with you until they're healed,

You know,

Until you fully learn that lesson,

It doesn't go away.

You could say that this is a version of that where things carry over from past lives.

There was even a researcher who was studying that.

He would study birthmarks that people had that kind of looked like where there could possibly be wounds and was tracking where they said their past lives were and seeing if they were real,

If that was real people,

If that tracked,

If that was accurate information.

And there was a lot of really interesting research on that,

Right?

Yeah.

And so anyway,

In seeing this past life,

She was able to feel a level of resonance with it and was able to see like,

Okay,

That makes sense.

That could be true.

And she was able to start to let go of that intense fear that kept her from flying,

Right?

Because she was even afraid to fly just in general from state to state.

And so it was disruptive to her life.

And so having this conscious awareness of it and a little bit of help releasing the energy,

She was able to start traveling again,

To fly again,

Knowing that she didn't have to repeat that same pattern over and over again.

Whereas if she had stayed in unconsciously held fear,

She would have not only not been able to fly,

But she also probably could have ended up creating the same experience of getting trapped somewhere she didn't want to live again,

Whether it was back in her home country,

Or whether it was just at a more micro level version of that,

Like potentially living in a building or something,

A house or apartment that she didn't want to in some way,

When that is unconsciously being held on to,

It comes back up,

We recreate it in our life,

To try to get that understanding to try to get that healing.

So without going into a long breakdown of how manifestation happens,

Because that's a whole nother topic.

What I wanted to say,

Though,

Was that unconscious fear,

It feeds energy into the outcome that you don't want that and what needs to be healed tends its way to make its way back to the surface of our lives until we find that awareness and healing.

So just wanted to say that part again,

So you can hear it and understand that past life awareness can be part of that healing.

It can bring stuff up for you,

It can be useful.

So enough of my jibber jabber,

Let's go ahead and meditate and experience this for ourselves.

Let's build some awareness around it.

So go ahead and close your eyes,

Get those feet flat on the floor.

Maybe relax your hands in your lap.

You want to sit in somewhat of an upright position,

Probably in a chair or on a couch.

You don't want to be laying down for this particular type of meditation.

And give yourself a couple deep breaths in,

Connecting into your body,

Connecting into your body,

Into the present moment.

And first and foremost,

Would you find a quiet and calm spaciousness within you?

Some of you may feel that space in your heart.

Others of you may feel that spaciousness in your head somewhere.

Whenever you find that center point for you,

Just breathe into it.

Put your attention,

Energy flows,

Those things tend to grow.

Just like my example,

When your energy is unconsciously flowing into some old past life,

It starts to grow that area.

Whereas here in meditation,

You're breathing into that stillness within,

Maybe even visualizing it within your head or heart.

And so it's starting to grow,

That stillness is.

And so with each breath you take,

Let your silence deepen,

The mind grow,

Moving into that quiet inner space,

Because that's the first step,

Tapping into your awareness.

So you can be absolutely aware to quiet down the mind,

Or you can give the mind a task.

You can give it something to concentrate on.

Sometimes why people will focus on breathing in a certain way or a mantra.

If you have a monkey mind that's distracting you,

It's jumping all around.

I like to use visualizations to give that light concentration.

So start to see each distraction,

Each thought,

Each sensation,

See it as an image.

It's something that's coming up to pull you out of that stillness.

That says,

Oh,

That's scary,

That's painful,

I can't go there.

So instead,

I'm going to create an itch on your face or an itch on your leg,

Sensation here or there to distract.

So you could give it a color,

You could give it a shade.

Sometimes it's easy just to see it as a colored cloud,

Not necessarily doing anything as a gentle task that it can do.

And if that's not enough,

You can dictate that process to yourself.

Meaning if you're thinking about eating pizza,

You can say,

Thinking about eating pizza to yourself.

If you're to-do list,

You can say,

Thinking of my to-do list.

You can dictate what that distraction is and that you're the one that's aware of it.

And between the visualization,

Making it separate to you,

And the inner dialogue,

Tracking what you're aware of,

You start to step deeper into that awareness of what's arising.

You're that which rises in the mind.

So just give yourself another breath.

Rethink this process.

Just be here.

And the second step to being able to see into the past or future,

Past lives,

Future lives,

Starting to.

.

.

Is actually being more fully here in the present moment.

Which may sound a little bit counterintuitive,

But to access memories or visions outside of time and space,

You have to go into the eternal,

Endless void that exists right here in the present.

So with your intention,

Would you be here now,

Fully as you can?

And if it helps,

You can go back to seeing that inner space within your heart or within your head.

And you can imagine yourself in the most beautiful scenery imaginable.

Somewhere so absolutely breathtaking that you're just cultivated awareness in the moment.

That's not your thing.

You may find it easier to just connect in with your breath and the here and whatever feels right to you.

You can start to imagine out in front of you that you either have a big crystal ball,

That there's just a movie screen out in front of you,

Whichever you prefer.

Imagination is the key to accessing some of this information.

Making it up,

You're just using your imaginative abilities to gain access to it.

And so simply taking a look at that crystal ball or movie screen out in front of you,

Would you intend to have one of your past lives reveal itself to you?

So that can come forth in the form of a movie type scene where you just get to watch it,

A vision within that crystal ball.

And maybe it just starts in a general nature scenery.

You kind of see,

Okay,

Maybe it's this point in time in history.

Maybe it's this country or region.

And maybe you start to see a person within that scene.

You're like,

Oh yeah,

That's probably me.

Or it's you as a baby or you as an old person or anywhere.

Just allow that visualization to unfold for you without trying to force it.

And some of you may get a really clear image that just comes to you easily,

See what you're doing in a past life.

You're not that visual of a person.

You've never tried visualizing something before.

You feel a bit of pressure.

This information,

That's okay.

That's what I help people develop in intuitive training.

But for now,

You can just receive that information through whatever outlet it's coming in at.

Meaning it could be a thought of who you think you were,

A feeling of how you lived or died,

Or maybe you have a sense of knowing action to a particular story or just go with whatever comes up in whatever way it arises for you.

And if you're feeling frustrated or confused or lost in this process,

Know that this is just a light experience to tap into it.

I wouldn't expect you to be an expert at it your first try,

But more so to the point,

Maybe that feeling of frustration or confusion,

Anger,

Effort,

Whatever it is that's coming up,

Rather than that just being an energy you're feeling in response to the activity,

What if that was the energy that you were stuck in in that past life?

Because you're intending to look at that past life.

And so whatever you're feeling could be that your body's way of conveying that message to you,

Giving you some idea of what that is.

So go with it,

Hear it out,

Consider that that could be part of what you were struggling with in that past life or enjoying in that past life.

Knowing that very few people really find this easy or totally trust what they're getting the first time,

Probably feel like you're just making it up or you're not sure.

And practice is the way to certainty.

So this is just your first time trying it more than life.

And so after you've watched some of that scene play out,

It can be moving,

It doesn't have to be just one stagnant scene like a picture.

There could show you that whole lifetime,

It could show you that whole story.

If you haven't gotten to the end of that life,

Ask it to start to fast forward,

Start to take you towards the end.

Maybe ask it to take you to the most important scene within that lifetime,

Most important piece of what was going on.

Take a moment to let that come in,

Experience it how you experience it with your intention,

Which you ask to have an experience of what the biggest takeaway from this lifetime is.

Did you life that was full of love and connection,

And maybe the importance of that past life is that that's something that you're missing in your life today,

Something that you're,

Or did you get steered off track and lived a life of obligation,

Never really felt like you fulfilled your deeper purpose.

So maybe in this current life you make choices that seem a little crazy to others,

But they bring you closer and closer to your purpose,

To your path.

Just see if anything comes up.

Letting it be easy with spiritual experiences like this,

Just let it come and receive it.

If you don't see that answer,

Feelings,

Thoughts come up as you contemplate that idea of there being a lesson in your past life,

So that you're not making it up,

It's your way of perceiving that information.

And even if you don't believe in past lives at all,

Could this provide a metaphoric lesson for you?

Could it be sage advice nonetheless?

And so give yourself another deep breath,

Those images fall away,

Movie screen or crystal ball start to fall.

As you do,

See is there a specific color coincides with that lesson?

Like let's say the lesson from that past life was forgiveness.

Does that show up as a color to you or a purple,

Yellow?

Lesson from that past life was staying true to yourself.

Does that show up as a pink or a green?

Just get a sense of what color that lesson might be,

Even if you don't know what the lesson was at all,

That's okay.

We'll take this extra step so you can still benefit from it,

You can still get healing from it,

Even if you're frustrated and feel confused.

Okay,

So see that color as a big bubble,

Bring that colorful bubble above your head,

Really big beach ball,

Almost as big as your body.

And then just imagine you can pop that bubble and let all of that color,

Which is really a vibration,

It's a frequency,

Fill into your body,

Can pour on in,

Saturate your body,

Knowing that that energy,

That lesson,

Is now within you.

Whether you mentally know what it is or not,

You have that within you.

You can take a step forward in a healthy,

Clear way.

So go ahead and give yourself one more breath,

Breathing all that energy in,

And you can wiggle and stretch and come on out of meditation.

That's a brief intro into past lives.
