I want you to know you are not broken.

You are a system doing its best to feel safe.

Take a slow breath in through your nose,

And exhale through your mouth.

Let your body land here.

Maybe your shoulders lower slightly.

Maybe your jaw unclenches.

Let's offer your system a cue of safety.

Something small,

Something gentle.

Placing a hand somewhere that feels comforting,

Your chest or your belly.

Feel the warmth of your own touch.

Your nervous system listens to warmth.

Take another slow breath in,

And as you exhale,

Let your whole body sigh in relief.

You are not broken.

You are unwinding patterns that were born in moments of fear,

Exhaustion,

And overwhelm.

You are learning safety in a body that had to be alert for far too long.

Your system is intelligent,

It adapted to survive,

And now it is adapting again,

This time toward ease.

Let your body rest here in this truth.

Now,

Let your next breath deepen just a little.

You are allowed to be exactly where you are,

Through repeated moments of safety.

Helpful, enjoyed the music and when/how it shifted throughout. Calming pace and voice. I liked the prompt that warmth felt in the body signals safety; especially useful that I was in a sunny window to feel real warmth… as I’ve yet to establish it inward just on my own. Currently needing to find any helpful cues that can align me with any sense of safety. This was a short practice, but now I can connect my sunlight practice to safety, for which I am grateful for. Feel this will be helpful until I land into a regulated place where my body/mind automatically find safety with ease again with consistency to live fully again .🙏🏼
