Welcome to your five-minute weekly meditation.
My name is Christy and I'll guide you through a short,
Steady moment of calm.
A space to breathe,
To slow down and to feel grounded.
Start by getting into a position that feels good for you.
That could be seated,
Lying down or just resting back.
Let your body settle in.
No need or pressure to feel relaxed just yet.
Let your eyes soften.
Let your shoulders drop.
Allow your hands to rest wherever they land.
And then when you're ready,
Take a slow breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
We'll do that again.
In and out.
Let your attention settle into your body.
Notice if you're holding tension in your jaw,
Your belly,
Your hands.
There's no need to force anything.
Just let those areas know it's okay to soften.
Some days softening will feel natural,
But other days you might notice yourself clenching or holding on without even meaning to.
Either way,
This is your reminder.
You don't have to fix it all right now.
Just noticing is enough.
This week is a reminder that soft does not mean weak.
You can be grounded and gentle at the same time.
You can move slowly and still be strong.
Let your breath move in and out.
Nothing fancy,
Just steady and natural.
Let it guide you toward a little more ease.
If you'd like to join in,
We'll take a few rounds of even breathing.
So in for four counts and out for four counts.
We'll try it together.
Breathe in 2,
3,
4 and out 2,
3,
4.
Inhale 2,
3,
4.
Exhale 2,
3,
4.
Continue one more time at your own pace to your own count.
If your mind starts to wander off,
Planning,
Worrying,
Replaying conversations,
That is all completely normal.
Just catch it when you can and come back to your breath.
Even one return is a win.
Let the breath return to its own rhythm now.
Let it settle into something soft and steady.
There's no goal here.
You don't have to arrive anywhere.
You're just here.
Steady,
Soft and present.
Take one more breath in and a slow breath out.
Thank you for joining me in this five minute meditation.
And remember life is a balance of holding on and letting go.
Namaste.
