Welcome to this powerful three-phase gratitude meditation.

I'm not aware of anyone who has approached gratitude in the way I am about to show you.

So I encourage you to be open to this process and the amazing benefits that come with it.

So let's start out by getting relaxed,

By clearing your mind.

We're going to wipe the slate clean so that you're truly open and receptive for what I am about to guide you through.

Let's take a deep breath in.

Let it out.

Let's do that again.

Deep,

Slow breath in,

Filling up your lungs.

And let it out with an ah sound.

Ah.

Very good.

So we're going to start by expressing gratitude for your past.

I want you to think back over the decades of your life thus far and think about the things that you are grateful for in four categories.

We'll go through them one category at a time.

We're going to start off with the people who were in your life in your past,

Perhaps as a child or as you were growing up.

Who were your friends,

Your family members?

Who were your friends at school?

What were some of your favorite or most challenging teachers?

Also,

At an earlier time in your life,

Were you inspired by certain authors or musicians or actors?

And these people can currently be living or not.

So take a minute right now,

And either in your mind or you can write these things down in a journal,

Who were the people who were most impactful on your life that you can feel a sense of gratitude for?

Do that right now.

Let's move on to the places of your past.

Maybe your childhood home,

Where you went to school,

Your places of employment,

As well as places that you visited,

Perhaps while on vacation.

Think of those places of your past right now and feel a sense of gratitude for them.

Let's move on to the things that were in your life during your past.

And these are physical objects,

Maybe toys you had as a child,

Maybe your first car.

What technology did you use at a younger age?

What games did you play?

What tools did you use?

Art supplies?

What are the things that you either owned or used in your past that you can be grateful for right now?

This fourth category is one that's often overlooked with gratitude.

This has a focus on yourself.

What were the personal accomplishments of your past?

Awards won,

Goals reached,

As well as mental insights,

Maybe breakthroughs that you had,

A realization that you had at a younger age.

Make that list either mentally or jot it down in a journal.

Make that list either mentally or jot it down in a journal right now.

Be grateful for those things that you accomplished internally in your past.

Now we're going to move to the present day,

Your current circumstances here and now.

We'll go through those same four categories,

Starting with the people in your life,

Friends,

Family,

Co-workers,

Neighbors.

Think about those people you're most grateful for and feel that sense of gratitude right now.

How about the places in your life right now?

Your current home,

Your current work environment or office,

Places you love to visit or go on vacation,

Nearby parks.

What are those places in your life right now that you're most grateful for?

Moving on to things.

This could be your current car,

The technology that you use,

Appliances,

Your phone,

Your computer.

The list goes on and on.

What are those things that you're most grateful for right now in your life?

And then what are you currently accomplishing or how are you growing as a person?

Pat yourself on the back and be grateful for your personal growth and your achievements that are happening right now.

And finally,

The third phase of this gratitude meditation,

I want you to project yourself into the future and practice gratitude in advance.

These are goals and aspirations that may not currently exist in your life,

But you're moving toward them.

You have an intention to manifest them.

And we're going to be thankful right now because they are on their way to us.

We are in the process of creating them right now,

But we're going to be thankful for their arrival in the future.

We'll go through the same four categories.

Who are the people that will be in your life in the future?

Is it a romantic relationship?

Is it a strong friendship?

Who will your coworkers be?

Who will your employees or team members be?

Who will you be friends with?

Who will you be hanging out?

Feel the gratitude for those people who will soon be in your life.

How about the places you will experience in the future?

What home will you be living in?

Where will you be working?

What types of places will you go for vacations and to get away?

Do you have just one house or maybe two?

Where are those places throughout the world that you've always wanted to visit,

But just haven't made it there yet?

Have gratitude for these places right now.

Moving on to things in the future,

What will you own?

What type of car will you be driving?

What type of technology will you be using?

What type of tools and accessories will be at your disposal in the future?

Have gratitude for those things right now.

And finally,

As you're projecting your future,

What are those accomplishments?

What are those things on your bucket list that you're going to achieve?

Who are you going to become?

How is your identity going to shift over the next few years or so?

The next couple of decades,

Perhaps?

What insights and breakthroughs will you experience?

Imagine that now by projecting yourself into the future,

And be grateful right now.

By projecting yourself into the future,

And be grateful right now for those things.

And there you have it,

The three-phase gratitude meditation.

Being thankful for everything that's happened in our past,

Being grateful for everything that's currently in our lives right now,

And being grateful in advance for the amazing things that are coming.

I truly believe that by embracing all three of these perspectives,

We bring our gratitude practice to a whole nother level.

I hope you enjoyed this.

Return to it as often as it serves you.

This is Bob Baker saying so long for now.
