Welcome.
In this meditation we'll be focusing on slowing down,
Checking in,
And tending to what needs tending in the mind,
Body,
And soul so that you can create more presence in your daily life.
The more you spend with your body,
With your mind,
And with your heart studying what's happening and allowing the experiences to process and integrate,
The more present you can be in your daily life.
So let's start by getting comfortable and closing your eyes.
To start,
We'll begin without changing anything,
Just noticing what's happening in your system today.
So let's begin with your thoughts.
How quick or fast are your thoughts moving?
How many layers of thoughts are moving through your mind?
What is the quality of your thought process?
Is it clear?
Is it messy?
Is it confusing?
And are there particular thoughts that keep coming up or cycling in your system?
Next,
Moving to your body.
Noticing what's happening in your body.
Is there tension?
Are there areas in your body that are holding tension or holding energy?
Do you feel disconnected?
Do you feel calm,
Energetic,
Grounded?
What is your body feeling like today?
You may notice certain patterns in your body that are showing up,
Maybe related to emotions or belief systems,
Ways that your body is held frequently,
The way you show up in the world,
Your body language.
And again,
Just noticing without judgment or trying to change anything.
Moving to your heart and your energy body.
What is your heart feeling today?
What's your energy like?
Is it contained?
Is it manic or frantic?
Is it all in one place and concentrated in certain areas of your body?
Or is it freely moving?
Now with this awareness,
You might like to later note what came up for you,
How you find yourself showing up today,
Or whether these may be patterns that show up frequently.
The more you study it,
The more freedom you'll have in your life.
Now let's slow down.
Bringing your attention to the parts of you that are touching the ground,
Let your breath and attention reach these areas of your body.
Breathing in relaxation and release,
And breathing out anything that you'd like to let go of emotionally,
Energetically,
And in your thoughts.
Perhaps there's been thoughts spiraling inside that you'd like to release,
Even if just for this meditation.
To give yourself a little break,
Just breathing those thoughts,
Those beliefs,
Those emotions,
Just breathing them out,
Letting it be just that easy,
Giving yourself space and time during this meditation to be fully present.
Great.
Now begin to take a walk in your mind's eye,
Bringing your attention to a path in your mind that you walk upon step by step,
Curiously,
On a beautiful,
Perfect day,
The kind of day that you love,
The temperature that you like,
The view that you enjoy,
In a safe space that's just yours.
The space is guarded by your spiritual support system,
Even if you can't see them.
Up ahead,
You see a garden.
As you get closer,
You see just how beautiful and rich the plants and soils are in this garden.
And you see that it's split into three sections.
The garden of your mind,
The garden of your body,
And the garden of your heart.
Each section corresponds to these parts of you.
As you approach,
You take a step into the mind section of the garden,
Noticing what's happening here.
What is the state of affairs in this area?
What are the qualities of the plants here?
Are they moving?
Are they static?
Are they wilting?
Are they strong?
Just noticing what's happening here.
There's no right or wrong way to see,
Just noticing what information your system has for you about your thoughts.
And then next,
You'll move into the body section of your garden,
Again noticing how the plants are doing,
Even what kind of plants exist here.
Taking your time to explore the garden of your body.
Your garden here may represent how you treat your body,
How your body is feeling,
Or any other relationship to your body.
And then continuing ahead,
You move into the heart and soul section of the garden.
And you notice how the plants are doing here.
Being curious about what is happening in this section of your garden,
What that might mean for you.
Taking in the information without judgment,
Just noticing.
And now having witnessed the entirety of your garden landscape,
It's time for you to tend to your garden.
What is most important to tend to here?
Take your time to tend to these sacred plants.
Each one is so important to your well-being.
Slowly and intentionally,
You will tend to these plants.
Replanting,
Reseeding,
Cleaning,
Watering,
Whatever needs to be done.
Making sure to prioritize the plants that need the most care and attention.
Really notice what it is these plants need.
Do they need love?
Do they need presence?
Do they need consistency?
Do they need to be heard or seen?
Do they need to be loved?
Do they need to be sung to?
Do they need joy?
Do they need touch?
Taking time to really explore what is and what needs to happen for you to take care of your mind,
Body,
And soul garden.
You may take a few minutes or you may take longer.
Stay here and take the time you need to tend your garden.
When you feel complete,
You know that you can always return to this garden and support yourself.
You can now return to your body in the here and now if you feel ready.
Slowly reorienting to the current space you find yourself in.
I encourage you to journal about your experience.
The images and experience that you have here,
While they may not make sense in this moment,
Are powerful and meaningful and may make sense to you as you go on with your day and week.
Jot down the important stuff to help integrate your subconscious mind into your conscious thinking.
And with that,
I'll leave you to your journaling.
Thanks for joining me today.
I look forward to our next meditation together.
