This 12-minute guided meditation will take you on a journey to the creative fires that are always available to you because they live within you. Whether you are a writer, or if you are an artist, or a dancer, or just want to infuse a little more inspiration and creativity into your life, this meditation will help you. Inspire means to breathe or blow into or upon, to infuse by breathing and it is my intention that with this meditation you are able to infuse inspiration, creativity into your being and your life and that you are able to feel those inspired fires burning brightly within. Namaste.

Thank you for joining me in this meditation.

One of the definitions for inspire is to breathe or blow into or upon,

To infuse by breathing.

Literally the breath of life,

The inspiration.

My intention for this meditation is for you to leave here feeling your own inspiration,

Your own breath as you face the blank page.

So find yourself in a comfortable position whether seated,

Legs crossed,

Back supported,

Chin tucked,

Or lying down,

Pillow under your head,

Under your knees.

And together let's take a deep breath in through our nose and release.

And another deep breath in through your nose,

Slowly,

Gently releasing,

Feeling your body relax.

And with this breath in through your nose,

Letting your eyes close as you exhale.

And just follow your breath.

Don't try to change it,

Just follow it in and out.

Notice where it resides in your body.

Feel yourself relaxing.

And during this meditation thoughts may come to you and that's okay.

Just witness them as if you were a child laying on the grass witnessing the clouds,

Watching them change shape and change form.

Nothing to attach to,

Nothing to worry about,

Just watching.

Just watching them move through your mind.

Noticing your breath,

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Relaxing down.

Your shoulders relaxing down.

Your body relaxing.

Now think of a place you love,

Somewhere in nature.

Could be the mountains,

The ocean,

A lake,

A field.

See yourself in this place.

It's daytime,

The sun is shining.

Listen,

What do you hear?

What are the sounds?

How do you feel in this place?

What do you smell?

Is the breeze blowing?

Do you smell flowers or the scent of pine or salt in the air from the ocean?

Take a moment and be in this favorite place and experience all your senses in this favorite place.

Now envision the sun,

Big orange yellow orb in the sky.

Feel it warming your body,

Warming the top of your head,

Your crown.

And feel this warmth permeating into your mind,

Into your head,

Filling you with this beautiful warm light and you feel it start to fill you,

Moving down into your throat,

Your shoulders,

Down your arms to your fingers,

Your fingertips,

Through your chest and your back,

Your belly.

Feel it warm,

Yellow orange glowing light.

And it moves down into your pelvis,

Into your legs,

Down to your feet.

This light,

This warmth.

Feel it in your heart,

Beating with your heart.

This light,

This force,

This energy.

This is the same light that you feel when you look at someone you love.

This is the same light that you feel when you wrap your arms around someone you love.

When you reach out for someone's hand that you love.

This light,

This energy,

This fire,

This is your breath.

This resides within you.

This is your creativity,

Your life force.

Your life force.

Take a moment now and find a word that comes to you that would describe how you feel in this moment.

Love,

Inspired,

Connected.

And in your mind's eye,

See yourself writing this word on a piece of paper,

Folding it up and tucking it into your heart space,

Letting it nestle in to that swirling,

Colorful energy that is your heart.

Let it plant itself like a seed that will grow as you nourish it with breath and light and stillness and your own creative fire that you are feeling in this moment moving through you.

Take a moment,

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

And feel yourself.

You are connected to the breath of life.

Each breath you take is life inspiration.

This is your creative life,

Your inspired life,

This energy moving through you,

Permeating you.

Breathe in,

Breathe out,

Feeling yourself,

Knowing that you can always come back to this word,

This word to remind you of how you feel in this moment.

And in a moment,

We will leave this place together and come back,

Anchoring this word to this place for later.

Take a deep breath in,

Coming back to your body,

Deep breath in,

Exhaling,

Knowing as you leave here today,

All you have to do when you need it is reach into your heart for that word as if you were a child reaching into their pocket for a treasure that they tucked away for later.

Start to feel your body,

Wiggle your toes,

Your fingers,

Remembering that the breath of inspiration lives within you all the time.

You just need to remember,

Just need to take one breath in,

Take one more deep breath in through your nose,

Exhale,

And in your own time you can open your eyes,

Look around you,

And face your day,

Your journal,

Your blank page with that breath of fire that you know resides within you.

Thank you so much.

Namaste.

Gentle, soft voice, supported by guitar, taking me to Avoca Beach and the word 'bliss'. Something to relish when I need it. Thank you. Hope there will be more meditations for writers and the creative amongst us. πŸ™

Great meditation. The bass threw me off at first, but then I really liked it. I would recommend this to everyone, not just writers. Namaste.
