Today we're going to focus on a Zen Buddhism style of meditation called Samantha.
So this style of meditation focuses on one point,
Point of concentration,
Something you can anchor into to settle your thoughts,
To find the stillness,
Find the space between.
This type of meditation is also called mindfulness meditation and all it involves is just focusing on one thing.
Today that thing is going to be the breath.
So just like yesterday we focused on the breath,
We're going to do that today just for a little bit longer and go deeper into the breath.
So if you haven't already,
Get comfortable,
Sit or lie down,
Grab a blanket,
Always moving towards comfort.
Amazing.
So settle in,
Taking a deep breath in through your nose and letting that go.
And if you feel comfortable,
Close down your eyes,
Taking another deep breath in here and letting that go.
And let's begin to watch the breath.
So with each inhale,
Follow that inhale.
Where does it go?
What does it feel like?
What does it look like?
Just watch that breath as it flows around your body.
Watch it as it leaves your body.
Just keep watching that breath flowing in and out.
And now on your next inhale,
Focus on where that breath lands in your body.
What point does it land?
Is it in your nostrils?
Your throat?
Your chest?
Your belly?
Focus on where that breath lands in your body.
And now on the next inhale,
Still focusing on where that breath lands,
I'd like you to give that space a colour.
Whatever colour feels right to you.
So if that breath lands in your throat,
Allow your throat to expand with this beautiful colour.
Feel the warmth of this colour as it vibrates through this space.
Feel in this part of your body.
And we're just going to be here for a few moments,
Focusing on where this breath lands and watching as it lights up that beautiful colour.
Namaste.
You you.
.
.
Doing so well continue just to watch you can release your concentration on that place now on that color just let it go when you're ready let's take a deep breath in here let that go and taking the biggest breath you've taken today and releasing that when you're ready you can come back into this room into the present moment and you can begin to open your eyes creating stillness and silence that ripples throughout your day have a beautiful day namaste you you you
