This is a quick, easy and effective breathing technique to instantly diffuse mild physical anxiety before performing an activity that causes nervousness. It can also be used when you find yourself in a mild fight or flight response and wish to reduce the physical reaction. It ends with a brief reminder that we are connected to a Greater Power or Infinite Consciousness and it can assist us in all that we do.

Welcome to this mental technique and breathwork exercise.

This is designed to help you reduce anxiety before you are getting ready to maybe give a talk or do something else that makes you a little anxious or nervous.

It can also be used if you've already been triggered and you're feeling a little bit of anxiety.

This is one way to help diffuse the fight or flight response.

The very first part of this technique is a breathwork exercise.

You can do this with your eyes open or eyes closed.

This is all about the physiology.

So what we're going to do is we're going to breathe in quickly through our nose and breathe out twice as long with our exhale through our mouth and allow just an audible sigh as your exhale leaves your body.

So let's begin.

We'll do this about five or six times.

So breathing quickly through your nose,

Slowly through your mouth.

It's about a one to two ratio.

Breathe in deeply and fully through your nose and slowly through your mouth.

Again deeply in through the nose,

Full and slowly through the mouth.

Deeply through the nose and slowly through the mouth.

Again deeply through the nose and slowly exhale through the mouth.

One last time.

Now if your eyes were not closed,

I invite you to allow them to gently close now if that's safe feeling for you.

And now we should be breathing a little more relaxed,

Nothing forced now.

Just acknowledging that our body is now in a different state than it was before we began the breath work.

So as we're here,

We're just going to take a minute to feel the difference in our body.

Notice the calm and just acknowledge that there's something else at work here.

That our bodies are tuned into some sort of intelligence,

That there is a consciousness within and in our being,

Our mind,

Our body,

And our being,

Or soul,

Whatever you like to call that.

So we're just going to keep our awareness on this and imagine that as we go forward now,

We are in a new state of being.

That this place within us is okay.

So whatever it is that we're getting ready to do,

Just acknowledge that there is an infinite intelligence which we are able to tap into,

Able to take this moving forward and that as we come from a place of intentional awareness,

Attention,

And creation,

That we are in a better physiological state,

Mental state,

And that all aligns as our being.

So I hope you'd enjoy this and that you can remember it anytime that you find yourself in a state that you need to reset or before you're getting ready to do something that's going to take special attention or awareness.

Something that maybe gives you a little bit of the jitters.

I hope you enjoyed this.

Please check out more and have a wonderful day.

Be well my friend.
