A guided meditation for a quiet mind and removing negative thoughts.

Hello and welcome to today.

Today is yet another great new beginning for you,

A day to be more present,

To do things with more focus and ultimately,

Be more relaxed whilst doing so.

Life can be obtrusive sometimes,

With feelings pressed upon us and people relying on us.

Sometimes there can be a build up of pressure inside from all of this.

Let yourself go and flow with any feelings or sensations of calmness that you notice as you listen to this meditation.

In the next few minutes,

I hope to calm your mind and relax your body.

You find yourself standing on the waters edge at a seafront.

At dawn,

You can see the sun peering up from below the horizon,

Where the glistening water shines the last of the night time light.

The sounds of the waves are hypnotic,

And the more you listen,

The more your breathing relaxes,

As the ocean waves find their own rhythm.

So too does your breathing,

The more you listen,

The more you relax.

There is a quiet,

A stillness in the air that feels peaceful and very calm.

You breathe in the subtle salt air of the ocean,

Which is harmonised with negative ions.

You feel your mood lift a little as you begin to focus completely on yourself.

As you are stood there listening to the sound of the waves,

Seagulls fly hectically above you as if they were your own thoughts going around in your head.

You are aware of the seagulls as much as you are your thoughts.

Without giving any mind chatter any recognition,

Your attention is placed in the silences between those thoughts.

The more you concentrate on the silence,

The more quiet your mind becomes.

Each fresh breath takes you away from any past or future thinking,

And everything begins to slow down.

As the silences become longer,

Your thoughts are now further apart,

Your breathing now a regular deep and long pattern that softens your muscles.

Observing the seagulls,

They slowly start to disappear into the distance,

Flying away towards the horizon,

As do your thoughts.

Any negative thoughts going around in your mind at the moment are being dispersed like the last few clouds in the deeply blue sky that you see.

Every negative thought and every cloud evaporates and eventually disappears.

As the sun starts to come out,

It starts to recharge you,

Placing positive energy on your skin,

Which is absorbed by your every being as the feelings of refreshment intensify.

You close your eyes,

As if pulling the shutters down and locking them closed,

Taking in the very still and slow atmosphere.

Every awareness and every thought is placed on the very relaxed sensations that you feel right now,

A warm breeze relaxes you further.

Closing your eyes,

Mouth and jaw,

As you feel every grain of sand between your toes,

You settle into a very deeply relaxed state.

The sound of the gentle waves calms your arms and shoulders,

Loosening them,

Making them feel very free.

The babble of each wave is like having your mind cleansed,

You are now feeling awash with a sense of healing.

You may perhaps notice a tingling or something similar around your forehead or on the top of your head,

Go with it,

Accept the healing that you deserve.

Your back and stomach area ease from the calm surroundings and lack of thought that you breathe in,

Each hand releases any grip of tension in the palms of your hands,

Your fingers splay slightly as they now become limp,

A wave of purity,

Clarity and peaceful tranquility slides down your legs to your feet,

Helping to ground you.

Each foot feels smooth from the diminished tension that may have perhaps been felt.

Allow your inner self to relax now,

Begin to feel a peace from within,

Perhaps you sense a warmth circulating around your body,

Or around your heart area,

Become more calm as you hone your focus on the tranquility that builds up inside your soul and inner being.

Concentrate on the peacefulness of this moment and allow it to multiply as many times as you wish.

With each breath in,

The calmness and settled sensations you experience grow stronger,

You are now finding your calm place,

An area in your mind that brings every level down,

Everything is slow,

Serene and restful,

Here there are no stresses or worries to disturb you.

Just by using your focus and awareness,

You have found a space of tranquility.

With clear thinking,

You look out beyond the horizon,

Your face muscles completely relaxed as you enjoy the silence of your mind,

More relaxed now,

Your breathing is in harmony with its own rhythm,

All tense feelings have dispersed and your mind is free of any negative thinking.

It is now time to come away from this place of deep relaxation,

But the effects of this experience will stay with you for the rest of the day,

When you are ready,

You can open your eyes and have the reassurance that you can return to this safe space at any time you wish.
