How to meditate for life success.
Four limiting beliefs holding you back from starting a meditation practice.
Hi,
It's Christy and thank you so much for coming back to the second day of the course.
I'd like to talk on the purpose of meditation and how I believe it is to open our hearts and to gain control over our most precious tool,
Our mind,
So that we may attain a oneness of body and mind.
With each meditation sitting,
Little by little,
It will allow us to become more present and encounter life fully.
One person may have everything they desire,
Such as material riches,
Numerous external relationships,
A high profile career,
Yet he still feels a void in his internal state of being.
His physical body may be here,
But the mind elsewhere,
Making him not available.
For example,
Suppose this person is on his boat with his kids,
Together for a family day.
However,
In his mind,
He's thinking about his next week,
Full of presentations and duties to do around the house.
If his kids were to come up to him looking for love and attention,
He would be there physically,
But not mentally present.
Another person can have just enough money,
A career that serves his purpose and is fulfilling,
Close relationships,
And he feels profound internal peace and contentment.
He spends time tuning into his mental state,
Trying his best to focus on the present moment.
He sees this as enough,
As sufficient.
Okay,
What is the driving force for his satisfaction,
You ask?
Well,
It depends on his thoughts and how he manages them from controlling or affecting his life.
Meditation assists humans in mastering the mind by working on controlling or more so gaining control and attention and being aware of what we place importance on.
Where focus goes,
Energy flows,
As it is said.
So by becoming aware of thoughts that are not serving us and beginning to withdraw our attention,
The body and mind become one,
And you truly begin to be yourself,
Present and able to be available to life,
Yourself and your loved ones.
For example,
When we exercise,
Our body is actually building muscle memory.
If you have ever taken a break from the gym,
When you return,
It doesn't take long to build back the muscle.
You can't just sit down and relax and relax for a few minutes.
It doesn't take long to build back the muscle.
We can actually use meditation to train our attention and build our brain's ability to quiet the mind.
This will allow it to perceive reality for what it truly is instead of all the judgments,
Expectations and preconditioning that we have been trained to think thus far.
Meditation helps you to move from a mind unautomatic to understanding your own mind.
As a result,
You can cultivate a more peaceful,
More focused,
Less worried,
More grateful and attentive life.
You actually can choose your state of being.
I am speaking from my own perspective and for me it works.
Yes,
I still run an autopilot.
I have a busy corporate job.
I have the gym and chores and a family.
However,
I am more conscious of when I am operating from monkey minds and am able to make shifts back to presence.
And for this,
I am grateful.
Hi,
My name is Kristy and I am very excited that you have decided to join me.
My intent is to change your mind and encourage you to incorporate a daily meditation practice in your life.
It is a beautiful path.
Meet me during the next four sessions to discuss in detail the limiting beliefs holding you back from starting a meditation practice.
Before we leave each other today,
I'd like to invite you to take a moment and connect with your heart.
Place your hand on your heart and breathe deep into your heart space.
Gently exhaling all of the air out of your belly.
Another breath in,
Directing your attention to your heart and knowing that everything you need is already inside of you,
Waiting to be discovered.
Take another breath in,
Connecting with your heart,
Knowing that you are perfect just as you are right now.
Peace be with you.
