We're going to start with a gentle beginning for this day,
So get yourself comfortable,
Make any adjustments you need to make,
Making sure you're as comfortable and as relaxed as you can be this morning.
Noticing the support from the chair or the bed or the floor.
Noticing where your body touches the surface beneath you.
Noticing how this surface supports you and allow it to do that.
On your next breath,
On the exhale,
Just relax that little bit more,
Allowing the surface to take some of your weight,
Softening your body into that support.
On your next breath,
Slowing down the breath and taking maybe a slightly longer out-breath.
Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly and just notice the rise and fall as you breathe in and out,
Entering fully into this moment.
And before you enter into the day and start doing things,
Responding to other people and giving yourself,
Just remember that this quiet moment is yours.
And this quiet moment can be returned to at any time during the day.
And as you recognize that this space,
This softness,
This stillness belongs to you.
It's yours to come back to.
And let your shoulders soften into that fact.
Consciously relax them a little bit more.
Consciously relax your face,
Your back,
Your legs.
Your whole body.
You do not need to win the day or hold it all together.
You simply need to be present,
Fully present.
Because when you're fully present,
Your mind is clearer.
Your emotions are more appropriate in the present moment.
And your nervous system is regulated when you're fully present.
So if we approach this day with presence and with kindness,
What would being kind to yourself look like today?
Would it be clearer boundaries?
Would it be drinking more water?
Or recognizing when your body needs to rest?
What would being kind to yourself look like today?
Allow the answer to come to you.
What's right for you.
Taking a long,
Slow,
Deep breath.
And a longer exhale.
Really becoming aware of how it feels right now.
Acknowledging this softness,
This quietness,
This stillness.
And let us set the intention for today to bring this feeling into the day.
And bring it in with kindness,
Not with force.
And let this gentle beginning be your guide.
At any moment,
Notice your feet on the floor,
Your back in the chair,
And come back to this moment.
With a long,
Slow,
Deep breath,
Your body will remember.
So just take one more steady,
Long,
Slow breath and notice your feet on the floor.
And remember,
As the day unfolds,
You're ready.
You're ready to carry this softness with you.
And to go out and have a beautiful inner day.
Thank you for joining me.
