Aloha,
My name is Reverend Cindy Palos and I've been talking a lot about peace as I work on a book on it and I've been finding it a fascinating journey as I really discover all of the elements of peace.
It's like that onion you peel,
There's more and more layers to it.
I should go into it.
It gets deeper and deeper and I was sitting in meditation and it came to me about just allowing ourselves to realize we have enough.
There is something that is really,
I think,
Deep within us that makes us think we need more.
We need more of this.
We need that.
We need something else,
Always needing something more.
I couldn't help but laugh.
What came to me is Mick Jagger's song,
I Can't Get No Satisfaction.
I know,
It goes way back.
I'm old school.
But it's true you can't get no satisfaction a lot of times because you try and you try and you try.
But if you don't have it inside,
Getting more and getting more is actually not going to bring you peace of mind or satisfaction.
We think if we could just have this or that.
There's so many unbelievably creative,
Tempting ideas and thoughts and things to purchase that when we even have that in us that we need this to make ourselves what we want to be,
We'll get it and then we have it.
It's good for a while.
It can even be good for a long time.
But it's also something else we have to deal with.
I have so many wires and computers.
I got a new iPhone and I have to deal with all the things that come with it and some of the things that are glitches with it as well.
Everything you get,
Everything you have takes some maintenance and issues and work as well.
I think there's nothing wrong with getting what you need.
It's wonderful to have the ability to manifest and get what you need.
It's also really wonderful to realize that you can just be.
You can just let yourself be,
Especially in meditation.
Just go into meditation and you will find that in meditation,
If you take the time to let yourself be,
That you will find some peace of mind.
And there is a peace in just being.
Just being okay with yourself.
Just being present.
Just realizing how full and perfect each moment can be.
Let yourself experience that in your mind right now.
Because the mind gets so busy and we're getting better and better at learning how to get things instantaneously sometimes.
But can we get that peace of mind of being okay with just being and not having to be more or get more or achieve more or be anything but what we are?
Do we really believe that something else will make us inherently better?
I think part of us believes it.
I think part of us wouldn't spend time and money getting something unless you think it makes you or your life better.
But do we really think it changes our inherent state of being?
Our inherent way of being?
That kind of change comes from believing that you are enough,
That you have already in you.
Unbelievable,
Huge,
Powerful,
Untapped gifts just waiting within you that you can experience right there within when you're just being.
And in that awareness of that,
That gift of awareness of that,
My gosh,
What a great thing.
That you can not have to purchase anything but you don't have to read anything,
You can just be in meditation and have everything that you need.
So that can bring you a peace of mind because we're getting into a time where we're going to be very busy and things are getting more open and we're getting back into busyness time.
But in this time of being busy,
Remember to take time to just be.
Let's do some meditation on just being here together.
Let's set our intent to find that peace in being,
Just being.
And let's just breathe again,
Just being the breath,
Breathing in,
Holding your breath,
Allowing yourself to experience all that you are right now.
And just letting go and releasing any tension,
Anything in your mind.
Breathing in just this moment and feeling anything that you wish to release and let go in your body.
Just breathing and scanning your body.
How is your body?
Do a body scan here and just feel,
Feel the skin,
Feel your muscles,
Feel your energy.
Is there anything that is tense in your neck and your shoulders?
Just let that tension go and your lovely throat chakra,
Allow that to be fully,
Beautifully present and glowing.
Allow your entire heart area to be alive and full and present and being here with you now.
Feeling that love there within you and just allow yourself to be in that place of complete fullness.
Allow yourself to breathe and be in your heart in that fullness of this very moment.
Breathe in that moment,
That very moment that exists eternally right now.
Allow yourself to bathe in this energy of beingness and be aware.
Be aware of what it is that you are sensing.
Be aware from that place that is aware of your awareness and just allow that place to merge right now and become full,
Complete and whole.
How do you feel when you are complete and 100% whole?
Not needing anything,
Not doing anything,
Just being here now.
Can you find the beautiful serene peace in being?
That wonderful place where you're just okay.
You're just fine.
You're happy with just being here right now.
You don't need anything.
You have everything you need with you here and now.
Feel that.
Believe that.
Bathe in this energy of complete wholeness.
Just sigh and let go of anything that you thought you had to have and just allow yourself to be here now in peace.
Breathe it in.
Hold it.
Bathe in it.
Absorb it.
Become it.
You are here in peace right now.
We're going to slowly come out of meditation and you're going to allow yourself to remember this wonderful anchored feeling of being whole,
Of being calm,
Of being at peace and having everything you need.
If anything has come to you,
Write it down and always know that you can always be with yourself and you can in that place of fullness be at peace because you have everything you need to be at peace.
