Welcome to this five-minute mindful eating meditation.

Take a moment to sit comfortably with your food in front of you.

Start by taking a deep breath in and slowly exhale.

Allow yourself to become fully present in this moment,

Letting go of any distractions or thoughts of the past or future.

As you breathe,

Notice any sensations in your body.

Are you feeling hungry or is there a sense of fullness?

Do you feel relaxed or maybe a bit tense?

Just observe without judgment.

Take this moment to simply be here.

Now,

Before taking your first bite,

Pause to look at your food.

Notice the colors,

Shapes and textures.

Appreciate the beauty and detail in front of you.

Thinking about the journey each ingredient took to arrive here.

Through nature,

Farmers and the hands that prepared it.

When you're ready,

Pick up a small piece of food,

Bringing it close to your nose.

Take a moment to inhale,

Noticing the aroma.

Notice if it brings any feelings or thoughts to mind.

Perhaps warmth,

Comfort or even memories of similar meals.

Let yourself feel gratitude for this meal.

Let yourself feel gratitude for this meal and all it took to make it possible.

Now,

Place the food in your mouth,

But resist the urge to chew right away.

Feel its texture and weight on your tongue.

Noticing every sensation,

Begin to chew slowly.

Focusing on the flavors as they start to unfold.

With each chew,

Try to notice new layer of flavor and texture.

Perhaps there's a sweetness,

A spice or a smoothness that you hadn't noticed before.

As you continue to chew,

Focus on how the food changes with each bite.

Focus on how the food changes with each bite.

Savor the process,

Taking your time with each sensation.

When you're ready,

Slowly noticing how the food travels down,

Nourishing your body.

Take a moment to feel gratitude for the energy and nutrients this food will provide.

If you'd like,

Take another bite,

Continuing this mindful practice with each piece.

Letting go of any rush to finish or any judgment about how you should be eating.

Simply be present and enjoy each part of the experience.

As you conclude this meditation,

Remember that you can carry this sense of awareness with you.

Eating mindfully can help you appreciate each meal more deeply,

Helping you feel connected,

Grateful and nourished.

Take one last deep breath in and slowly exhale.

Gently bring your awareness back to the room.

And when you're ready,

Continue with your meal at your own pace.

This meditation is intended to help you slow down,

Savor your food and create a moment of calm during meals.

It's simple yet powerful way to reconnect with the act of nourishing itself and yourself.

I hope you enjoyed the meditation.

I wish you a wonderful day,

An enjoyable meal.

Love,

Coach K.
