Hi everyone,

I'm Lucy from Coexist Collective and today we're going to do an energizing morning meditation.

Coexist Collective Coexist Collective Start by taking a comfortable seated position of your choice.

Your legs can be crossed,

You can sit on a cushion or block,

Whatever feels most comfortable to you.

Making sure you're sitting in a quiet place with no distractions around you.

Gently closing your eyes,

Placing your hands either on your knees or thighs and gently drawing your attention to your breath.

Noticing each inhale and exhale.

Ground down through your sit bones and keep your spine straight.

Sitting up nice and tall.

Letting your breath come and go.

Opening up through your chest by drawing your shoulders back and down.

Feeling your breath deepen as you open up.

Feel your chest rise and fall with every breath.

Inhaling as your lungs expand and exhaling as your lungs fall back down.

Let your body soften and relax in your seated position.

Focusing on your inhales and your exhale.

Observe and listen to the silence within your mind.

If thoughts start rushing into your mind let them flow through and then gently come back to your meditation.

Thoughts are okay,

They will come.

The key is to let them go by and not hold on to them.

Be kind to yourself and let go of any judgment.

Now take two or three deep yawns.

You can fake yawn until one comes on.

Let your breathing return to a normal pace.

Notice the natural rhythm of your breath.

Bring your attention to your head,

Relaxing your forehead,

Eyebrows,

Eyes,

Your ears and your cheeks.

Softening through your whole face.

Let your jaw relax,

Your tongue and lips relax.

Move your attention to your shoulders and neck.

Slowly softening and releasing any tension.

Now focus on your arms,

Slowly traveling to your forearms,

Your hands and fingers,

Relaxing each as you go down.

Now bring your awareness to your chest,

Softening and allowing deep breaths in,

Expanding your chest,

Opening up further.

Relax your belly now and let it soften.

Move to the top of your back,

Relaxing your shoulder blades and traveling down all the way to your lower back,

Making sure you're sitting up straight but your back is nice and relaxed.

Bring your focus now to your lower body.

Relax your buttocks,

Your thighs,

Your knees,

The front of your legs,

Your calves,

Your ankles,

Both your feet and all your toes.

Now bring your attention back to your whole being.

Notice any sensations you feel.

If there is any area left tense,

Making sure to consciously relax it one more time.

Now imagine the morning sunrise.

Feel its warm rays of light infusing you with beautiful warm yellow energy.

Allow the rays of light to warm your body up from the inside.

Allow the rays of sunshine to energize each and every cell in your body,

Filling up on fresh energy.

Breathing in and out,

Feeling as your body starts to wake up with each breath you take.

Feel the energy from the Sun gently waking your entire body.

Breathing in,

Sending oxygen to your head and face and exhale.

Breathe in and send life giving oxygen to your whole body,

Starting with your neck,

Shoulders,

Chest and stomach.

Sending that oxygen to your entire back and traveling down to your legs,

Feeling the rush of energy pulsing through your body,

Powering you up for the whole day.

Now list three things that you are most grateful for today.

Three things that make your heart feel warm.

Start your day with positivity and infuse gratitude into your life.

Slowly bring your awareness back to your breath.

Allow yourself to feel the rhythm of your breathing as your chest rises and falls with every inhale and exhale.

Taking a few more breaths before we end this meditation.

You can slowly start wiggling your fingers,

Wiggling your toes,

Waking the body up,

Bringing your hands together in front of your heart center.

Taking one more deep inhale of gratitude and on your exhale sighing it out,

Getting rid of any unwanted energy.

Thank you so much for joining me today and giving yourself time to start your morning on a positive note.

Namaste.
