Make sure that you're completely comfortable.

You're laying down,

Pull your shoulders away from your ears,

Check your body,

Make sure everything feels just right so that you can lay on your back,

Move your arms away from your sides,

Let your feet relax and your legs open slightly.

When you close your eyes imagine that you're stepping away from your normal world,

Your normal reality,

Giving yourself a break so that you can go on a journey with the intention of raising your vibration,

Feeling more happy,

More peaceful,

More grounded.

Start to focus on the feelings and sensations around your eyes and across your forehead.

Soften any tension that you might have across your forehead and the top of your head.

So relax your scalp,

Your temples,

Soften your jaw,

Relax your cheeks,

Let the back of your head get heavy into your pillow,

Take a nice big deep breath and exhale out any tension that you might have in your face,

Your head,

Your upper body.

Just breathe it out.

Relax your shoulders down into the bed.

The next time you exhale completely,

Breathe out all of the air in your body and let your chest and your upper back soften and relax into the bed.

Let the muscles soften in your abdomen,

Let your hips and your lower back get heavy.

Breathe and imagine that your breath is traveling through your body down into your legs,

Your thighs,

Your knees,

Your feet.

Relax your fingers,

The tips of your fingers,

Your hands,

Your wrists,

Let your arms get heavy,

Let your whole body start to soften and relax.

This is your time to relax even if it's just for a few minutes.

Your self-care time.

Using your imagination,

I want you to focus on that space in the middle of your forehead.

Let your eyes roll up and back slightly as if you're staring into that space and start to see in the dark,

Wide open space there in front of your mind.

Start to see an image as if instead of you being there in your room,

You're sat on the side of the river and you're staring out of the water.

You're sat with your spine straight,

Your legs crossed as if you're going to meditate right there by the water.

Maybe there's trees around the lake.

Just look at the trees for a moment.

Notice what kind of day it is today,

Whether it's windy or sunny or cloudy.

Look up at the sky.

Really take in all of your surroundings.

What kind of day it is.

This day and the river might change every time you come.

Notice what the day looks like today.

Keep your mind open and allow your imagination to put you right there.

Sit down on the earth.

With your hands,

Reach down and just feel the dirt.

Feel the earth underneath you with your fingertips.

Notice if it's cool to touch or whether it's warm,

If it's sunny.

Rub some of the dirt between your fingers and let the earth ground your body,

Bringing you right there into this moment.

So you feel very,

Very connected to the earth that you're sitting on.

Imagine that this lake has the ability to help you to calm all of your stress,

All of your anxiety,

All of the worries and the angst that you're feeling.

Imagine that this lake represents your thoughts,

The ripples on the lake,

The movement,

The gentle wave of the water.

Imagine if you're very anxious and very stressed,

That that is represented in the water,

In the lake,

And the lake looks choppy and busy and active and as if it's very windy.

The lake is moving around all over the place,

Just like your thoughts would be when you're confused or overthinking.

And then if the lake has the magic to represent your thoughts like that,

It also has the ability to represent when your mind is more balanced,

More calm and peaceful.

Look out at the lake and imagine that the lake is barely moving,

Just a very,

Very gentle movement on the top of the water,

Very,

Very,

Very,

Very still and peaceful.

So it just looks like a mirror out there in front of you,

Reflecting the sky,

Reflecting the trees.

This lake is like the waters of your mind,

Your inner thoughts.

So every day when you come to the lake and you sit down,

Like now today,

If your thoughts are anxious and choppy and crazy and they're all over the place,

The lake is going to help you to calm them down by using your breath because your breath is connected to the water.

Your breath is connected to the trees,

The sky,

The earth.

Your breath controls your body and the inner turmoil of your mind.

Let's practice right now.

As you stare out at the lake,

Start to take longer,

Slower,

Deeper breaths,

Slowing everything down,

Slowing down the water,

The movement,

Every breath that you take makes the water stiller and calmer,

Very,

Very,

Very calm.

Everything is okay.

Everything is right.

Everything is perfect.

Everything is exactly what it's supposed to be in this moment,

In this breath.

Everything is okay.

Just slowing down your mind,

Slowing down the anxiousness,

The stress.

You're breathing it out and calming the waters of your mind.

And you can see it happening there in front of you,

How much power you have over your thoughts.

All is well.

And then sometimes your thoughts will rush back in and the water will get choppy a little bit again and you'll see it right there in front of you.

And all you have to do is just take that long,

Slow,

Deep breath and the mind starts to calm back down.

The water starts to smooth out and get peaceful and quiet once again.

The water of your mind,

Much more at ease.

You can take a nice deep breath and absorb the energy of the sky and the trees.

Really,

Really connect to being in nature while you're here.

Feel the planet at the base of your spine.

The earth and the energy connected to your root chakra.

Allow the energy of the earth to start to fill your root chakra.

Just connect to the base of your spine and imagine that the energy of the earth feels very solid and heavy and structured.

And you can feel that stability at the base of your spine,

Anchoring you down to the earth,

Pulling you down like a magnet,

Keeping you stable,

Keeping you feeling strong and steady.

Notice how it makes your spine feel more straight.

How it makes your body feel more stable.

The whole time you can just keep staring out at the water,

Reassuring yourself that right now in this moment,

Your breath is calming down your mind.

Making your whole world in this moment just perfect.

All you have is this moment and this moment is exactly where you're supposed to be.

All we can do is live from moment to moment.

That's all we have.

Everything else from the past and everything else in the future doesn't exist.

This moment exists.

This feeling of sitting on the earth,

Using your breath to calm the waters of your mind,

Connecting to the trees,

The lake.

This is what is real right now in this moment.

The power that you have to make the lake smooth and slow and peaceful is real right now in this moment.

And that's all that you need.

Just enjoy feeling relaxed.

Keep an eye on the lake.

Make sure there's no current or ripples starting.

Just keep bringing yourself back with your breath to that calm,

Still place.

And just enjoy it.

Just enjoy this moment.

One moment at a time.

Know that you can do this for one minute.

If you have one minute to spare in your day,

You can do this for five minutes.

You can do this for 30 minutes if you have the time.

Start to make this a daily practice.

Using the power that you have over your thoughts to still the waters of your mind.

Using the power of your thoughts in a positive way.

In your reality,

Calm,

Peaceful.

Keeping yourself happy and sane.

Just breathe and relax.

Keep an eye on the lake.
