My name is Kari.
Let's meditate together.
So if you're able to,
Close your eyes.
Otherwise,
Keep your eyes open.
See if you can relax your gaze.
And if you're listening to this grounding meditation while you drive,
Don't even relax your gaze.
Just focus on the road.
But feel,
Listen and feel is all the requirements that you need.
Start to settle into your body.
So feel your shoulders,
Let them fall,
Pull them away from your ears.
Relax your jaw.
Connect to the space around your eyes and make sure that that's nice and relaxed.
You're not tight or tense across your forehead and around your eyes.
Checking with your normal tension spots in your body.
Normally the shoulders,
The jaw,
Around your eyes and your abdomen.
So feel into your tummy and make sure that your tummy is relaxed.
For most of us,
We are generally going and going and going.
Very busy.
And if we're not working or cleaning or doing,
Then a lot of the time we're even busy with what we're taking in on our phones.
You'll notice that everything is fast.
So if you're spending time on social media,
Scrolling,
That's busy.
It's fast.
Nothing stays around for very long.
And when you're constantly going and going and going,
It's very easy to become ungrounded.
And being ungrounded really means disconnecting from your body,
Disconnecting from the earth.
So let's plug back in during this meditation and slow things down.
Our minds never stop,
But we can let go of things in our mind.
So the thoughts that are rushing through your brain constantly,
Even during your meditation,
Start to see if you can just let them easily flip out of the brain.
Don't attach to any thoughts.
The only type of thoughts that I want you to think about right now is allowing your body to stop and just slow down for a minute.
And in the stillness of your meditation,
Your seated meditation position,
Even if you're driving,
Everything's moving around you.
Even if you're walking,
Everything is moving around you.
But while you're in your body and you're focused about being in your body,
We can create stillness inside no matter what's going on around.
Feel your breath as you breathe in.
Really feel as you breathe in through your nose.
Feel it go down through the back of your throat,
Down into your lungs,
Down into your abdomen.
Allow the stillness just for a second or two to be your focus.
And then breathe out nice and long and slow.
And on the exhale at the top,
When you're empty,
Once again,
Allow the stillness to be your anchor.
And then resume your breathing.
So every time you breathe in and every time you breathe out,
Yes,
We have movement.
But on the full and on the empty,
When you pause for a couple of seconds,
That's where you're going to find your stillness,
No matter what you're doing for this morning grounding meditation.
I'm going to take you on a journey,
But always know that your stillness can be found.
You can go back to your anchor in the quietness,
In the pause between your breaths.
So feeling that pause,
Feeling that stillness,
Starting to use your imagination.
I'd like you to imagine that you're actually up in the sky.
Cloud,
Big,
White,
Fluffy cloud.
And even though the cloud feels comfortable to sit on,
Soft,
Spongy.
And it's nice and quiet up there,
Except for the noise of the other clouds and the birds.
And the actual noise of Mother Earth that you would hear from the clouds perspective,
It's pretty quiet.
Yet you have a sense of spaciness inside.
You have a feeling of lightness,
But also,
It feels a little bit scattered.
And apart from the other clouds up here,
You don't really have anything that you can pull in your focus.
So your focus feels a little bit spacey.
It feels nice to be light and spacey,
But you feel too spacey,
Like you need something solid.
You need some stability.
This is what it feels like when you don't feel grounded.
You feel like you're not grounded.
You need to be out in nature,
Or you need to take off your socks and shoes and just kind of walk on the wooden ground.
It's an innate feeling inside of you.
You'll get a calling in your body when you've been on the computer too long.
This is the kind of feeling it feels like,
Even though the cloud is pleasant and you're still okay,
There's just too much space,
Too much buzzing,
Too much busyness going on inside of yourself.
You have a calling to just be solid and full,
A heaviness that makes you feel safe.
So we're going to move off the cloud.
You can telepathically communicate with your little moving cloud and tell it to bring you down to the ground.
You can see a patch of trees down below,
And they look yummy to be around.
So just communicate with your cloud and have it bring you down slowly,
Down to the earth.
So imagine this in your mind if you're walking or you're driving.
Imagine that you're coming down and you put your feet on solid ground.
Let's focus on what that sensation would feel like in your body.
You can move your feet around on the grass,
Stomp them up and down,
Feel the solidity of earth,
Of mama earth underneath your feet.
Take a nice big deep breath and just that alone starts to make you feel more balanced.
Just breathe in the spongy sensation of the grass underneath your feet.
Maybe it's a little bit damp and you can feel the cool morning dew on the grass.
Just breathe that in.
Imagine,
Use your imagination.
Recall the sensation of what grass feels like on your bare feet.
You're recreating the sensation in your body and the sensations are sending signals to your brain that you're grounding,
You're earthing,
You're getting plugged in once again,
Recharging.
Now on those stillnesses between your breaths,
If you focus in and breathe all the way in and then pause on your fullness,
Focus on the tingles and the sensations in your feet on your stillness.
Let's recreate that stillness.
Really feel the tingles and sensations.
You're connecting energetically and magnetically to the earth and your electricity.
Your magnetism that runs through your body,
The male and female energies are getting recharged.
And it's as simple as being aware,
Feeling that sensation,
Waking up,
The memory,
The memory feeds the body,
The stimulation and the stimulation releases the feeling that you're solid,
Safe,
You're on earth and you're grounded.
Your body once again will become recharged,
Filled.
If we go too long without doing this,
Either in physical or energetical,
Like we're doing right now,
If we get too disconnected from earth,
We eventually die.
We are creatures that need to be connected to that source of energy.
If we unplug for too long,
We get sick and we'll die.
So,
Grounding really is an act of self-care.
Care about yourself enough to stop,
Get off the treadmill,
The spinning wheel,
Like little rats running around and around and around,
Just going,
Going,
Going,
Going,
Going,
Going,
Going.
Even when we could be still,
We're still going,
Going,
Going,
Going,
Going on our phones.
Stop,
Get off and go smell the roses,
As you would say.
Go ground,
Give your body everything it needs to be healthy and vibrant.
And you can do this in your imagination,
Just like we're doing.
Let's create some different sensations,
But still get all the energy and the wonderful power from it.
Imagine that you're walking on the grass,
But there in front of you,
You see like a duck pond.
You start to walk towards the duck pond and the grass underneath your feet feels a little bit crunchy and spongy and all the wonderful things that grass feel like.
It feels really nice between your toes.
Again,
If you're walking or you're driving,
Use your imagination,
Focus on other things,
But feel and use the pauses of your breath,
The stillness to really feel so that you're not in danger while you're doing other things.
You get to the duck pond and it's clear and there's some ducks in the center,
But the water is nice and clear and you can see stones and big pebbles and all different shades and sizes.
You take a couple of steps forward and just put your feet in the pond.
The water is super cool,
Really,
Really cold,
But it wakes you up.
The coolness travels through your body as if your body is like a straw,
A human straw,
And you just experience this blast of coolness through your feet all the way up to the top of your head.
But the more you stand there,
The more you get used to the temperature and it starts to just feel really good.
And once again,
You take a nice,
Big,
Deep breath,
Hold the breath,
And really feel the sensation of this cool water on your skin,
The pebbles underneath your feet.
You can whittle your little toes and just kind of grip the stones.
And that energy that you feel in your feet goes all the way up from your coccyx,
All the way up to the nape of your neck,
All the way up to your crown.
Sending electricity and magnetism all the way through your body.
Imagine it if it was lighted up,
You could see it going up through your legs,
Up through your spine,
Down your arms,
Into your fingers,
Up into your brain.
Your whole body would be lit up from the presence of this energetic,
Grounding feeling.
Once again,
You feel really,
Really balanced,
Steady on your feet,
Strong,
Like your muscles are activated,
Like a tree.
You know,
You'd be able to sway with the strongest winds,
You wouldn't crack and bend,
You just feel more present in your body.
And that's a good sign that you're grounded.
You'll be able to focus,
You can concentrate.
Your body will be healthier.
You'll feel physically stronger.
Everything you would feel as if you'd been plugged in and recharged.
Take a big,
Deep breath and really,
Really feel that feeling.
Feel it in your body.
Like you're a big,
Strong mountain.
And then as you breathe out slowly,
If your eyes were closed,
You can open your eyes and come back into your present.
Just feel your body.
Enjoy the balance,
The fullness,
The energy.
Namaste,
My friends.
