This embodiment practice is designed to help you shift out of patterns of over-giving and into deeper self-love. Through gentle movement and mindful awareness, you’ll learn to listen to your own needs first, creating space for authentic care and connection. Together we’ll reframe self-care as an act of service, not selfishness, so that you can honor your boundaries and give from a place of wholeness.

Welcome to your little five-minute embodiment practice.

I'm gonna start somewhere comfortable.

You can be seated or standing or lying down.

That's up to you.

Wherever you are,

Arrive fully in this moment.

So set aside any distractions,

Close the door,

Maybe light a candle,

Make this moment special.

And when you're ready,

Land.

Noticing the way that the floor feels below you,

Do a quick body scan,

Checking in with anywhere you're holding tension,

Anywhere that feels open,

And inviting your mind into the space of curiosity rather than judgment.

It's not always easy,

But just the invitation to focus in that direction of curiosity.

Let that be enough for now.

Coming towards your breath,

Begin to expand through your inhales,

Letting your belly fill and release.

And as you exhale,

Draw your belly button towards your spine.

Inhale,

Expand,

And exhale,

Hug it in.

Continuing with that depth of breath.

We'll begin.

This is a sacred moment just for you.

You don't need to hold anyone else right now.

You don't need to perform,

Fix,

Or caretake.

You don't need to make space for anyone but yourself.

You get to come back to you.

Take a deep breath here,

Let your belly expand,

And exhale,

Slowly let it go.

Start to drop into your body,

Relax your jaw,

Relax the space around your heart.

Notice anywhere in your body that you feel tired,

Tense,

Invisible,

Overextended.

Scan from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet,

Tips of your fingers.

Where have you been leaking energy?

Where have you been giving from empty?

Pause and just listen.

Let the answer come as it wants and needs to,

Without forcing it.

Bring both hands to your heart and speak gently to yourself.

I matter.

I am allowed to rest.

I am allowed to hold only what's mine.

I am allowed to set down this weight.

I don't have to hold everything for everyone.

Breathing here,

Start to call all of your energy back.

You can say this in your mind or out loud.

I call my energy back from every space I gave without being received.

I call my power back from every place I've felt unseen.

I call my soul back from all the ways I have abandoned myself.

Feel those words.

Visualize golden light flowing back into your heart,

Through your crown,

Through your feet,

Your hands,

Your belly.

You are returning to your wholeness.

You are allowed to exist outside of service.

Continue to breathe here and visualize and feel your energy returning to you.

Noticing those spaces in your body that felt tired or tense,

Heavy,

Invisible.

Notice any shifting in sensation within those spaces.

Let this be a new beginning,

A new devotion to yourself.

You don't need to disappear.

You have nothing to prove.

You matter outside of what you give.

Bring your hand to your heart and one hand to your belly and take a deep breath.

Let yourself expand and take up space.

Let yourself exhale,

Maybe even making a sound.

You are worthy of so much more than you know.

You can take as much time as you'd like here,

Breathing,

Calling your energy back in,

Rooting into your space,

Your emotions,

Discerning what's yours to carry.

Whenever you're ready,

You can gently open your eyes and start to wiggle your fingers and wiggle your spine.

Come back into this moment knowing that you are whole as you are,

That your presence is your power.
