And so take a comfortable position.
Last week we explored standing meditation.
So if you're feeling tired or if you weren't here last week,
You didn't feel tired last week and you were curious to see if this kind of meditation debeau fait leu.
Regardless of the position you choose,
Be comfortable to start.
And after you make your first few adjustments,
Commit to stillness.
Deji bu adhima bhidditi.
No relaxed way without trying to grasp or control.
Reconnect with your meditation object,
The point d'encage.
The body,
The breath,
Or sounds are examples of objects of meditation.
Settle back in a way where you can observe this natural dance of your mind.
Part of this dance or the beauty of it is that the mind eventually returns to the moment,
Even if just for a few seconds.
As I read the 10 paramis,
The 10 perfections of the heart,
Know that these are just qualities of this very complex system that makes up you.
By no means is this you though.
If a parami or a quality feels less familiar,
It is not a judgment of character.
It is an arrow pointing to what is possible for us.
Calcality,
Reçant peut m'oi family.
There is generosity.
Moral conduct or ethics.
Renunciation.
Energy.
Wisdom.
Energy.
Patience.
Truthfulness.
Determination.
Loving kindness.
And equanimity.
Of those qualities.
Which one can you stretch or lean into a little more?
Inhale or exhale?
So you walk down the street to your home or your car.
You do the things that you normally do,
Prepare a meal or be with the people you live with,
The animals.
Imagine all these actions but one of them is a quality,
The quality that you want to lean into,
To stretch into.
Can you suddenly imagine doing the same actions but with a little bit more say patience or energy or generosity or wisdom?
Can you begin with momentArabian?
.
As you hear the 10 qualities again,
Sense into which one feels very strong or present in your life,
Perhaps even a main driving force,
A main motivator.
Generosity,
Moral conduct or ethics,
Renunciation,
Wisdom,
Energy,
Patience,
Truthfulness,
Determination,
Loving kindness,
Equanimity.
Imagine your own actions,
All the people or beings you might encounter.
And see or feel into how your life benefits or those around you benefit from this quality of heart that is already inside of you.
That is already present,
That is already part of you.
.
.
.
After you have imagined this,
Return to your meditation object,
Your anchor.
.
This caring neutrality,
This equanimity,
.
.
.
.
