So let's just begin to close your eyes if you have not done so.
Beginning to turn our attention inward.
And so whatever that might mean for you,
If you'd like to explore the body or the breath.
Just beginning to find that focal point,
Finding that central channel,
That central awareness and anchor inside our bodies.
And as I said earlier,
We're going to take this trip in the woods.
And if we have any expectation or focal point,
This is the opportunity to just drop it and release it now.
Being really open to what we might see or hear,
What might come out of this journey in the woods today.
As we begin,
We'll begin barefoot,
Walking through the woods on this trail.
And so trails,
Unlike cement or sidewalks,
Are bumpy.
There's little grooves and divots and many little hills.
There's roots that grow through the trail,
By the trail.
Both sides of the trail are surrounded by trees of many ages,
Small little tiny ones,
Well-established large trees.
In those areas,
As we continue to walk down this trail,
We see these areas where the sun peeks through and hits the floor of the wood.
And in these areas,
Ferns will grow.
We see greenery.
And as we walk,
We are walking at a slow meditative pace.
We're feeling our feet connect solidly to the earth.
Hearing the birds chirping.
Seeing the sunshine peek through as it touches our skin.
And then we go into darker areas.
Sometimes we might hear some rustling in the leaves,
A little bit down past the path.
Feeling the temperature on our skin.
Fully emerging ourselves in the woods,
On this path,
In this moment.
No plan.
Nowhere to go.
Just being here.
As we continue to walk,
We look over to the left.
We see a very well-established older tree.
It's a couple feet from the path.
But it's accessible.
Starting to begin to find our way through the leaves over towards that tree.
And as we come closer to this tree,
Placing both of our hands on the bark.
Inhaling as if we can even inhale the energy of the tree.
Feeling its grounded nature.
And exhaling out with a beautiful sigh.
Anything that is keeping us from being present.
And wanting to connect a little further with this tree,
We begin to turn around and sit with our backs supported by the bark.
And as we sit down,
We feel the roots underneath of us.
But exactly where we are seated,
As if we were meant to be there.
As if there is a cushion just right for our bodies to sit in this area.
Taking a moment.
Sitting here.
Noticing what you might see or hear.
Or maybe just closing your eyes,
Feeling your back and head against the tree.
And just being.
Feeling called to begin to stand up.
Taking our time though.
Beginning to head down the path.
This time walking even slower than we did when we first began.
Noticing what we see and hear.
What we feel.
Not just what we feel in the external body.
How are we feeling inside?
How are we feeling as we connect to nature?
How is our breath?
Do we feel a bit more slowed down?
A little bit more settled?
I'm continuing to walk down the path.
Until we make our way to where we first began.
As we look out from the woods.
We see an open field.
And in that open field,
Sitting on the grass,
There is a figure.
We feel called to walk over to this person.
Knowing that they are safe.
Knowing that they will make us feel as if we are at home.
As we approach this person,
We sit down.
Next to them.
And we know that they're one of our guides.
Someone who guides us on a daily basis.
Someone who looks out for us.
Someone who sends us messages when we need to hear something.
And maybe you can see the person clearly.
Maybe it's a figure.
Maybe just feel their presence.
As you look at them,
You see that their hands are cupped.
And you know that they're holding something just for you.
As you look down at their hands,
They begin to open up their hands.
Extending their arms closer to you.
And showing you what is placed in their hands.
This is exactly what you need to hear or what you need to see.
And taking this moment,
Maybe perhaps ask a question about what's in the hands.
Or maybe asking another question that pops up.
Sticking with that first question that popped in our head.
Not questioning what's in our hands.
Whether or not that's the one thing we need to ask.
Notice what you might hear.
Maybe smelling or seeing images appear.
Being open.
Not hyper-focusing on the question.
Seeing what just might pop up.
And even if you're not getting the exact answer,
Maybe it's not clear.
Knowing that you'll receive your answer exactly when you're supposed to.
And thanking them for always being with you.
For helping you along the path.
Beginning to bring your awareness back into your body.
Into the room.
In this moment.
And as we conclude,
Bringing our hands into prayer in front of our heart center.
Now into the space behind our hands.
Honoring ourselves.
Respecting ourselves.
Loving ourselves.
And from this space,
Shining out love to those who might need it right now.
Maybe perhaps someone specific.
Or just the general population.
From my heart center to yours,
Thank you so much for joining tonight.
Namaste.
