Let Go to The Divine
1 Peter 5:7 Amplified Bible (AMP) - Casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. Attachments can bog us down. Give them to The Divine
Transcript
Letting go of what you fear to lose.
Settle into your chair or to your mat.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and then out through your mouth.
Start to roll your neck back and forth.
Relax in your muscles.
Tighten the muscles in your face and then relax them.
Tighten the muscles in your back and relax them.
Let's go down to the buttocks and your thighs.
Tighten them.
Tighten them.
You hold a lot of stress here and relax them.
Roll your shoulders back once,
Twice,
Three times.
Shake your fingers,
Your hands,
Your wrists.
Tighten your toes and relax them.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and then out through your mouth.
Bring your awareness to the words.
Letting go of what you fear to lose.
There's a lot of meditations on letting go,
But none of them seem to give over your problems to God.
Let's put a new twist on letting go.
First Peter 5,
7,
The Amplified Bible.
Casting all your cares,
Anxieties,
All your worries,
All your concerns.
Once and for all on him for he cares about you with the deepest affection and watches over you very carefully.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and then out through your mouth.
There is a saying countless masters throughout history,
From Buddha to Lao Tzu to Jesus Christ,
They all taught that the cause of suffering is due to our attachments on one level or another.
Let go of attachments whether they are material,
Emotional,
Physical,
Or mental.
We all cling to things.
But how do we release the glue and the energy that holds them to us?
Attachment is one of the tools to really be able to let go of energy that we get stuck on and attachments that pull us into a direction that we really don't want to go.
And then during this time,
Meditation does wander off.
Just return your attention back to the breath.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose and then out through your mouth.
Let go of the things you fear to lose.
Ecclesiastes 3 verse 6 English Standard Version A time to seek,
A time to lose,
A time to keep,
A time to cast away.
The 20th century Jesuit priest Anthony de Mello once said,
You never really possess things.
You merely just hold on to them for a while.
But if you're unable to let them go,
Then you are held by them.
We all have things we fear to lose,
But for us to be truly free within ourselves and deeply connected to the divine,
We must let go of these things in our consciousness so they are not a part of our psychological foundation,
But a part of our growth.
If they are a part of our psychological foundation and if you lose them,
You will be shaken to your very core.
Letting go of things we fear to lose does not actually mean losing them.
It simply means we are resting them in the divine hands,
Placing them before God and leaving them to the divine control,
Accepting that the divine plan may be different,
Seen differently than we do.
So as you sit quietly,
Close your eyes,
Draw your mind to the things you fear to lose.
For some of us,
Our consciousness is consumed by relationships.
For others,
Making money,
Or the future,
Or an emotion.
Where does your attention go and what is your attitude towards yourself as it goes there?
Picture each of these one by one,
Whether it's a people,
A possession,
A job,
Whatever it is for you.
Focus on why they are important to you.
Place a smile on your face and let those precious thoughts flow through your consciousness.
Be thankful that you have these things and how much they have meant to you.
Now picture an image of the divine,
Whatever that is for you,
In front of you.
In your mind's eye,
Step forward,
Bow your head,
And stretch out your arms with these things that you've held in your hand.
Open your hand and place these precious things within the divine.
Picture these precious things enclosed within the divine.
Smile.
Know it is protected.
Loved.
Held as precious as you imagined them and enclosed in the divine spirit.
Know that God loves these things also and that the divine has a plan for each of them,
Both within your life and separate from your life.
Leave this space.
Leave the things that you've placed in the hands of the divine,
Knowing that as you go,
You walk away without them.
Recite the meaning of what you've just done,
The depth of the significance.
Just by doing this,
You've already seen that you have a little bit more space,
A little bit more freedom to move around.
These things you have placed within the hands of the divine,
They are still physically with you,
But you no longer hold them in the foundation of your inner self.
They continue to be part of your existence,
But now the divine is looking out for them.
They do not mean any less to you,
But you have to let them go.
And now,
Just let your body move into the background of your awareness,
Shifting your attention to your breathing.
Breathing in,
Acceptance and allowing.
Breathing out,
Letting go.
Breathing in,
Acceptance and allowing.
Breathing out,
Letting go.
In doing this meditation of letting go,
It can help you develop more awareness and more understanding of the deeper parts of our life.
You can release yourself from the battle of what's going on in a particular moment.
We can cultivate acceptance and allowing,
The letting go.
You may feel the need to repeat this practice more than once.
You may choose to do this practice for each individual thing you need to let go.
Whether you place it all in the divine,
Or whether you do it one at a time,
It doesn't matter.
What's important is that you practice letting go of the things you fear to lose.

Anxieties,
All your worries,
All your concerns,
Once and for all,

And then out through your mouth.

Letting go of attachments has been Focus of mine over the last few months. It became very clear to me that attachments were in my way and that I needed to ask God to help me release from anything that had me bound. Thank you so much for this meditation and I hope to hear more like these.

I give five stars... Please kindly low the voice of background music so your voice can be heard properly..I feel that if your voice is little bit louder than background music , then really you deserve 10 stars... Not 5 but 10 stars.... Hope in your next session , you will increase your voice and low background music..
