Letting go of pressure,

Guided meditation.

This meditation will help you let go of pressure that you feel in your life,

When you're performing,

When you're studying,

When you're working,

And in between those things,

When you're just going about your activities.

Human beings carry a lot of pressure and are actually conditioned to carry a lot of pressure,

But that's not necessarily helpful or supportive of our happiest,

Healthiest life,

Nor our most excellent performance.

Learning to let go of this pressure and to live without it can be a very freeing way to approach everything you do with the greatest health,

Happiness,

Joy,

And excellence,

As well as capacity and presence.

I hope you enjoy this guided meditation.

Let's begin.

If you would begin by taking a nice,

Relaxing breath and continue breathing in whatever way feels most relaxing to you,

And allow yourself to start feeling the weight of your body on the floor,

And allow yourself to feel gravity pulling the weight of your body towards the floor,

Finding a position where your body naturally supports itself where your body is in a balanced posture,

And feeling the weight of your body as it relaxes,

Releasing any tension,

Any muscles that you might be keeping tense or holding up,

Letting them relax and fall towards the floor with gravity,

Bringing this relaxation to your head,

Your scalp,

Eyebrows,

Eyes,

Nose,

Mouth,

Jaw,

Ears,

Letting your entire face relax,

And continuing down your neck,

Your back,

Your chest,

Your belly,

Your low back,

Your shoulders,

Your arms,

Hands,

And fingers,

And continuing to relax more deeply,

Relaxing your butt,

Your legs,

Your knees,

Your calves,

Your feet,

Your heels,

Your toes,

Bringing a lovely state of physical relaxation to your body.

And with it,

A lovely state of internal relaxation to your mind and emotions,

Intending to let any distracting thoughts pass without any issue,

And letting any emotions that may come up pass smoothly.

Know that you can enter this state of relaxation at any time and that it's very healing,

That when you relax,

Your body goes into rest,

Digest,

And rejuvenation,

And regeneration mode.

Isn't it amazing how,

When we relax,

Our bodies know how to heal?

And now,

If you would just begin to work on quieting your mind,

Noticing any thoughts that come up,

And focusing on the space between the thoughts,

Allowing that space to grow,

That quiet,

Still space between the thoughts.

And enjoying some moments of inner peace,

Relaxation,

And joy.

If you can allow yourself to remember a time where you were a child and you were just happy,

Allowing yourself to bring that joy into this moment with your quiet mind and your relaxed body.

And from this place,

This place of inner peace,

Presence,

Maturity,

And relaxed,

Focused concentration.

Getting in touch with that source of energy in you that strives to be good,

Good to yourself and to others.

Getting in touch with that innocent part of you that truly wants the best for all beings.

Getting in touch with your genuine source of goodness.

Getting in touch with your innocence,

And knowing that that's who you are.

And seeing and recognizing how you truly mean well.

Recognizing your genuine nature,

Your caring nature,

Your sensitivity,

And your wholehearted intentions.

And seeing this pure part of you that deserves to thrive,

And deserves to experience joy,

And health,

And love,

And care,

And goodness.

And that wants to share that goodness with others.

And knowing that you bring that goodness with you everywhere you go,

And in everything you do.

That it's there beneath the pressure,

The fears,

The worries,

And anxieties,

And stresses.

All this pressure,

Which can be let go.

And if you would intend to begin letting go of this pressure now.

If you would allow yourself to become aware,

But not caught up in,

Simply aware of the pressure that you typically feel in your day-to-day life.

What are the pressures?

How do they manifest?

What are the voices that pressure you?

Whose voices are they?

In what situations do you feel pressured?

As you ask yourself these questions,

Allowing whatever comes up to come up,

And just noticing it.

You might notice memories,

People,

Places,

Things.

Noticing the situations in which you feel pressured.

And imagine yourself taking all these different pressures,

However they manifest,

And the very root of the pressure.

Whether it's a parent,

Or some cultural expectation,

Or standard,

Or self-pressure,

Or whether it comes from a sibling,

Or authority figure,

Or some safety,

Or control strategy that's out of balance.

Noticing all the pressures,

And putting them all in a bag.

So you have all these pressures in one place.

Visualizing yourself,

Tying together all of these pressures.

Any and all ways in which you tell yourself that you have to,

In which you rush yourself,

In which you rush yourself,

In which you judge yourself,

Or not doing something well enough,

Or being enough.

Getting in touch with any ways in which you're rough with yourself.

Any ways in which you're harsh with yourself.

Any ways in which you overly drive yourself with high expectations,

And self-judgment.

Any ways in which you're not kind and easy with yourself,

Your gentle self.

Any ways in which you push yourself,

Hate yourself,

Criticize yourself,

Or blame yourself.

Any ways in which you use guilt,

Or shame on yourself.

Any ways in which you don't forgive yourself,

Letting go of all of these pressures that we place on ourselves.

Any ways in which you tell yourself you have to,

Need to,

Can't,

Must,

Won't.

Any ways in which you push yourself too hard.

Any ways in which you pressure yourself to have some level of status,

Or reputation.

Ways in which you push yourself to meet others' expectations.

Any ways in which you taunt or torment yourself.

Any ways in which you ruthlessly expect yourself to meet certain goals,

And realizing that who you are,

This wonderful,

Good,

Pure,

Innocent,

Gentle being,

Thrives under self-love,

And self-care,

And self-nurturing.

That you,

No matter how tough you might seem on the outside,

Thrive in a loving environment.

And that you have every right to always provide that loving environment for yourself,

No matter what.

Knowing that you have the option,

From this point forward,

To always notice when you begin to pressure yourself again,

And choosing to let out the pressure,

And to maintain your environment,

Your internal,

Mental,

And emotional,

And physical landscape.

Knowing that you can maintain an internal environment of self-love,

Kindness,

Understanding,

Self-compassion,

Forgiveness,

Acceptance,

Care,

Nurturing,

Gentleness,

And that you can support such an environment for all the other wonderful souls out there,

For all the human beings who are gentle,

And good,

And kind in their heart.

And all the species that are also good,

Kind,

And gentle in their hearts.

And trusting that you can reach people from this state of love and kindness,

Absent of pressure,

And that you deserve,

And all people deserve to live in that type of environment.

And that by creating that environment for yourself,

You begin helping to create that environment for all others.

And now taking a moment to appreciate this time that you spent letting go of pressure,

Getting in touch with the goodness inside of you,

And giving yourself love,

Appreciating yourself for taking this time,

And clearly and completely seeing any and all internal dialogue or voices that would pressure you,

And just letting them go with love,

Getting in tune again with your body as it rests and heals,

Getting ready to return to your day-to-day life from this new space,

Free from pressure,

Feeling unburdened,

Like a great weight has been removed from your shoulders,

Like you're free to be that youthful,

Pure source of who you are,

Feeling creative,

Inspired,

Feeling so light,

Having let go of all of this pressure,

Excited to open your eyes and return to your life,

Wiggling your fingers and toes,

Taking another relaxing breath,

Opening your eyes,

Moving on to the most free,

Relaxing existence that you deserve.
