Hello,

My name is Dominie Drew and this is a five-minute meditation on mindfulness.

Let's begin.

Start by taking a nice deep inhale.

Allow the breath to come deeply into your body as far down in as it wants to go.

Release the exhale,

Letting yourself let go of anything that you carried into this meditation,

Anything that you are carrying now in the moment that does not actually exist here and now.

This includes thoughts,

Emotions of things that have passed,

Anything you're holding on to or worried about that hasn't happened yet.

Anything that in reality exists in the past or in the future or is not relevant to the moment,

Just allow it to go.

Take another deep breath in,

Hold at the top and on the exhale allow yourself to release anything which is not here in this moment.

Gradually feel your body beginning to clear as you release those connections,

Those attachments which do not truly exist for nothing will leave that is here in the moment in reality.

This is where we want to be mindful.

This is where we want to experience the body in the present moment.

What's here now?

This is the question we can ask ourselves.

Become mindful.

What is here now?

And listen to your body to hear it speak.

Perhaps when you ask that question your focus may come to a certain part of your body or to something emotional which is hurting or an area where you're struggling.

Allow all of this to be here.

This is part of your sacred journey.

Pain and suffering is not to be avoided but to be watched,

Observed and learned from.

Allow whatever is here to be here.

Offer some self-forgiveness for any areas you feel you ought to be doing better and release that judgment realizing that you are exactly as you ought to be here in this moment.

Take another deep breath in.

Become deeply aware of your body again letting yourself sink further into the present moment identifying and releasing things which do not need to be here and more fully experiencing this present moment being who you are in your perfect body for you having had your perfect life experiences for you.

What would you like to become mindful of now?

What would you like to see more clearly?

To feel more deeply?

Allow yourself to be the container for whatever life experience you are having at this period in your life.

Know that it is never too much for you to handle.

Deep breath in.

Hold at the top.

That's it.

And release anything you don't need to carry.

Good.

Become deeply aware of your body again looking for any areas of tension,

Uncertainty,

Anxiety,

Anywhere you may be holding on to something that maybe is ready to let go.

On your next breath allow yourself to breathe in light,

Gold,

Beautiful sparkling light.

Hold the top allowing it to connect to anything that is ready to leave in this moment and release it on the exhale.

This without any attachments,

Without any story of who you are,

Who you have been in the past,

This is who you are in this present moment.

Nothing more,

Nothing less.

Allow yourself to be all that you are and allow yourself to see that as just perfect exactly as you are.

Use mindfulness throughout your day to remind yourself that you are enough.

This is a wonderful way to get present fast. I liked it so much, the last time I did this, I added you to my teacher list. Today, I had only intended to get in, get present & move on w my day, but this became a gateway for a longer lovingkindness meditation. Thank you for that gift. 🙏🏼

Great med. I need to do it several more times since I missed quite a bit by being, umm, not present! But great tone and message, just hard to change.
